Excellent location and great value for the money. If you're looking for something fancy, this isn't the place. However, if you want something comfortable at a great price, go for it. Another thing that I liked is that it was not corporate - it seemed to be a family-fun establishment. Lastly, free Wi-Fi that worked great the whole time.

The hotel was in the perfect location. Very close to the museums, plazas, restaurants and shops. It was much better than we expected for such a low price! They cleaned the room every day and the hotel was very quiet. We highly recommend! -

Room was so clean, sheets fresh and crisp, so quiet, family run hostal,
everyone including the parents pleasant and lovely. The two brothers do
a marvelous job. Our train back to Barna was not til 530 so they kept
our bags after we checked out at 9 am until about 4 when we started for

The location of this hostel was perfect for those wanting easy walking access to the three big art galleries in Madrid and the gorgeous city park. Good restaurants just across the street. We are 70 and had to walk up one flight of stairs only. The manager got our bags and was so helpful. Our own bathroom, very quiet and safe area. Not luxury, but very adequate and so inexpensive...we stayed two nights before our tour of Spain started and would stay here again for longer!

Staff at front desk was very kind and helpful. Rooms were excellent, for an 'hostal'. Location is great and very easy to reach. We didn't take breakfast; plenty of places around. - We were highly impressed at the cleanliness. All staff were professional and friendly.

The woman at the front desk was very nice and accomidating. The area was perfect. Shopping is wonderful if you walk around the area. The metro is literally a block away (which means a short 45 second walk). We found the area ideal, as we would hop on the metro and see all the sites. The Cervantes hostel is very well situated, 10 minutes walk to the Atocha train station and 10 minutes walk to the Puerta del Sol. Staff and owner are very kind, smart people. Bed is very comfortable, claned rooms and bathrooms, which are inside the rooms.

Everything was top class, location, comfort, facilities, staff. Only discomfort would be smoking allowed in hotel bar, and indeed most of the restaurants/bars are still smoking zones. - Good central location, but at the same time very quiet. Comfortable room, helpful staff.

When we arrived the guy that checked us in was amazing! He was genuinely friendly, pointed out all the places we had to check out and his recommendations were great. The apartment that we stayed in was superb. Very comfortable, perfect for a couple. The furnishings were excellent. Location was also amazing. I strongly recommend people stay here when they visit Madrid.
