A modest but impeccable little place. The staff is very kind and helpful. The location couldnt be better, near a crucial tube station to go to central Madrid and equally connected to reach to the airport.

Very friendly staff. I was impressed by the cleanliness, esp of shared bathroom and daily cleaning of room and fresh towels. Single room, but spacious enough and comfortable. Good location with easy connections to centre, and also plenty of shops, bars etc in walking distance. Central heating!!

Excellent excellent value! The Cuban man running the place is very friendly and helpful, interesting to talk to in general if you can speak some Spanish. In a great location with lots of bars, tapas shops, short walk to all the major attractions. Simple, but very very clean and neat. Would highly recommend fir a young couple or any budget travelle

This place is truly Home away from Home. The lady who runs the place is so nice, very friendly and keeps the place immaculate. Location superb - pedestrianised shopping strip right outside your door. Very safe area. Extremely helpful staff-thanks Mary and George for a great and comfortable stay. The location of Hostal Gala is excellent, a 5 minute walk from Gran Via and Puerto Del Sol. The staff are super welcoming and friendly, always ready to help and advise on where to go and what to do. The hostal is also kept very clean and the cleaning staff are very friendly and helpful as well. Although the rooms do not have safe deposit boxes, security and leaving passports/money behind was never a cause for concern. This is a place I would recommend and stay at again!
