Location is literally right around the corner from gothic quarters, 5 minutes from Picasso Musuem, 8 minutes from Plaza Catalunya. It was safe and clean. The owner was friendly and helpful. they will email you a week before you arrive to get your arrival time. -

Rooms everyday cleaned, blankets have been changed also everyday. Breakfast very efficient and sufficient for good start for a day. I really recommend this place with english speaking, helpful staff, elevator for heavy luggage. -

The location was wonderful. Had very close access to everything we wanted to do and see. You could have an inexpensive quick meal or sit down for a more elegant dining experience and all within a two minute walk. The staff was wonderfully helpful and competent. Santiago was a tremendous help to me when I was have some trouble with my airline. Everything is easily within walking distance. All in all it was a great location. We did have a room that did not face the street so we slept comfortably

The staff members went beyond the call of duty on more than one occasion to accommodate us and make our stay as pleasant as possible. Facilities are basic however for the money you would be hard pushed to find somewhere as good as this place. Also taking the location into consideration, I don't believe more facilities would benefit the hostal much

The Hostal is run by extreamly polite Indian gents and is in a perfect location for a city visit (only yards from the Ramblas). I saw reviews criticizing the wi-fi but I had a strong connection all holiday. We stayed in a double en-suite room and although basic, it was immaculatly clean, with beds made up each day and clean towels every 2 days. The bed was extreamly comfortable and there was always plenty of hot water in the shower. Great place to stay if you want a cheap holiday. ps. felt ver

Location, location, location. As all the travel guides say, you must get one of the rooms with a tiny balcony overlooking the square. Fabulous ever changing show to watch from the room, not noisy during normal sleeping hours. In the heart of the old city, yet tucked away. We walked everywhere. Helpful, friendly, efficient staff. Great hot water.

The location is superb, just off La Ramblas. The hotel staff were excellent, very friendly and able to answer any questions we had. The rooms are simple but spotlessly clean. We were at the front of the hotel, so we had a small balcony overlooking the street. There is a lift, essential for people like me who have difficulty with stairs.

Hotel Condal is located in the heart of the La Rambla. It is so convenient to walk 30m and then to enter the La Rambla. The many restaurants, shops and attractions in close proximity of the hotel is a bonus. The reception of the hotel is very helpful, knowledgeable,efficient and available 24hr. Location of the hotel is excellent. Close to a metro station and in the middle of Las Ramblas and El Borne. In winter, el borne is a better place to be close rather than since la rambla. The staff has made really nice improvements and facilities in the hotel, that's nice. But some of the stuff like towels and sheets are really too old.

Location was very good for visiting the Old Gothic neighborhood, La
Rambla, and Barcelonetta, and only a 5 minute walk to Metro stop to
access farther sights. The room was small (typical for Spain), but with
a high ceiling it didn't feel too claustrophobic. Good value with
all the basics, plus a few extra amenities, like balcony and hair dryer.
A/c worked well, which was crucial in mid-July.

Central location is perfect for walking all over town. It is right by
Placa Catalyna where the buses from the airport arrive and metro station
as well as trains out of Barca. Our second stay we were given room 202
which is a double with on-suite bath and a balcony onto main street.
People watching was great fun. Lots of flags hanging from balcony.

english helpful/friendly, the night staff generally doesn't know
anything other than Spanish & a lot stricter, but was the same at
all my friends hostels anyways. Good price & great location. Was
