The hotel was everything we hoped for and more! We arrived early (8:30 am), Vinnie and Kristina at the front desk stored our luggage in a secure locked area, leaving us free to explore the sights until check-in. Upon check-in, we were greeted with glasses of sparkling cava. Vinnie and Kristina represent the hotel most excellently. Kudos to them and to the hotel for their attention to detail.
Not one thing. The hotel is a five minute walk to Las Ramblas, across from the Cathedral, close to restaurants, shops and bakeries. We would not hesitate to stay at the hotel upon our next vacation. No attention to detail was ignored.The rooms were spotless and comfortable, excellent value for your money.

The hotel is in a nice section of Barcelona, an easy 10 minute walk to Las Ramblas the Gothic section of the city. The front desk staff was phenominally helpful and several spoke fluent English. Since we were there only one night, we opted for the thriftiest package. The room itself was very clean, albeit small. I would most definitely recommend this hotel.
The staff were exceptionally helpful wit any queries or problems which arose.The hotel is so central to the gothic quarter the marina and not far of a walk to Las Ramblas. I would definatly recommend this hotel to couples

Jaume 1 Metro just across the road. We asked for corner room as advised by guest review and got it, great views and nice big room. Wireless internet access. Helpful, friendly staff. Really nice hotel in great location for Barri Gotic and Born areas. Loads of free toiletries! Has a nice restaurant too.
Just small things really. It is on a busy road so there is traffic noise. The hotel bar shuts at 11 so if you came back from a night out and fancied a night cap the mini bar is the only option. No tea or coffee making facilities.
The room was more of an appartment. The inside location did not bother us as it was more quite. The furniture was very elegant and modern. The restaurant is a must. Excellent quality and reasonable price. At 120 E/night in such a good location, with a welcome gift and breakfast for two.
The receptionist, although professional, was very sobre/rigid.. I wish he had a smile..

Staff were both welcoming and helpful. Room and en suite were decorated to a higher standard than expected - shower superb - good value for money. The location of the hotel was excellant for getting to major sites, metro and an excellant selection of restaurants/cafes. Roof top terrace an added bonus offering fantastic views of the city.
Beds were a bit uncomfortable and the noise from the street made it difficult to get off to sleep - particularly for a 3 am start the next day!
Absoultly fantastic location, lovely rooftop terrace views and right beside jaume underground station-best way to get about and see everything, excellent cleanliness and attention to detail. Lost my key card and no problem to replace. Held cases until needed to go to airport

The location is fantastic; very close to the Metro station and the sights of the barro gotico. The staff was very friendly and professional. Any questions that we had were answered completely.

The Hotel was conviniently located.Clercks spoke both english and spanish.The room was small ,like most in this location but the bathroom was big.Has a hot spa,but you have to book it with a couple of hours ahead(no extra charge).The breakfast 15 Euros (kind of expencive) but acroos the street there is a place call Capussino wich is very reasonaly price and good!
The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The location was excellent and the rooftop terrace gave the most amazing views over Barcelona (as did our room on the 8th floor).
The room was a little on the small side - and the bath was pretty tiny! - but not unusually so for European hotels, and in no way did these minor points detract from our stay. We would definitely stay there again.

The location of the hotel is excellent, close to Ramblas, walking distance to seaside. The breakfast was the best one I have ever eaten in a 4* hotel. Staff were nice and helpful. Rooftop terrace and jacuzzi were a great advantage. Big and nicely equipped bathrooms. Glass of cava on arrival and also a surprisingly good bottle of cava (coupon) and strawberries included in one of the offers - cool.
Despite contacting hotel twice before arrival, smoking room was not available, so our guests had to pack and change room the day after. They warn about that, so it is fair, but it would be nice to be able to choose room type at reservation and not at the arrival. Some of the rooms are small indeed, but it is the city centre, so no need to stay long in the room. Beds a little uncomfortable for 4*.
