Was perfect! The owners were so helpfull, nice and friendly that its
hart to describe. Its a lovely couple, that has a great actitude towards
their guests. Not just maps and advices were to go, but Jan helped us to
get tickets to Chichen Itza, then to Playa del Carmen (they were brought

The owner Yan is from Holland. He has a perfect sense of Hospitality. Everything is arranged in a perfect way. Besides nice hotel service he also provided lots of advice and suggestion about the trip around Merida area. He mention that if he is not very busy he could also drive the guest for a day trip near by of course with very reasonable charge. Yan could also help to make a travel package include hotel and Maya heritages.The breakfast is diversify. You could enjoy different Mexico homemade

Everything! It is more beautiful than the pictures suggest. A true oasis in a big bustling city. If you do nothing else in Merida, at least experience Casa Lecanda. This is a fabulous hotel and I highly recommend staying here to experience the sheer luxury that this hotel offers its guests. Don,t be put off by the appearance of the facade or the general appearance of the area.Open the doors from the street and you will be amazed by the inferior. The breakfast experience is to die for, and all the staff have been wonderful.

I loved the very helpful staff, the free computer access, the amazing garden with swimming pool and wildlife, the extra free activities such as yoga, cookery demos, salsa lessons all free. Very nice atmosphere and well maintained and not too intrusive

The hotel is located a few minutes away from the city center. It is owned by a gentleman from United Kingdom. Very nice home atmosphere made us feel very welcomed. We were given a few good tips of places to visit. Coffee and breakfast were great. Totally recommend travelers visiting Merida to choose Yucatan Vista. Price is very reasonable. -

This place is what heaven must be like. Although we're young and on a budget, we like staying in authentic, beautiful places and this hotel was the best welcome to Mexico we could get.
The hotel is in this beautiful traditional-styled home with a wonderful patio with fountain allowing you to sleep with only the sound of the flowing water... The decorations, made by locals, were incredibly beautiful (from the bed covers to the ceramic hand painted sink).
