the hotel was excellent.amazing location for bus and train stations.very close to the centre of town and within staggering distance of the connaught rugby ground which was the purpose of our trip.the hosts were very friendly and rugby fans as well.the breakfast was excellent and dining area was lovely.the location was great for a morning jog around the waterside and the rooms were fabulous and i got a great night sleep.i would recommend this hotel to anyone going to galway and order rugby fans.

It's located just 5-10mins walk from Eyre Sq, just the right distance for a nice evening stroll after dinner, and far enough away from the hustle and bustle to not hear any city commotion! They allowed us to check in early, and to leave our luggage there for the day, after we checked out which was really sweet! I would definitely recommend this guesthouse, and will be going back again next year!. Right from arrival we were made to feel very welcome. This is a very comfortable and friendly B & B which is about a 5 min. walk to the city centre. Rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean, it felt like home from home. The breakfast was excellent. Would we stay again when visiting our daughter in Galway - the answer is a big fat YES. Very friendly people. In our 17 day trip through the uk and Ireland, this place tied for our favorite. Loads of room and quiet. Best breakfasts of our entire trip, and they were included. I'll never forget their full Irish breakfast. If we ever try and make it back to Galway, I will definitely stay here again. The owners were friendly and sorted a small problem with the shower. They were full of helpful suggestions for first time visitors to Galway. The location was just right being very close to the rugby ground and 5mins from the city centre. If I return to Galway I would look to stay there again. Very friendly family run guesthouse. The hosts and their family show an interest in their guests and make them feel right at home. An easy walk to downtown Galway. only downside is the extremely small shower stall. the breakfast choices are good, and the food is excellent. The coffee was very good and NOT instant. This BnB was an excellent experience. The staff were so very lovely, the location was excellent and a short gentle stroll into the city - without the noise of being in the city. Breakfast was awesome and we didn't need to eat again until the evening - excellent value. Our room was very cosy, clean and with a nice view over the garden. I was immediately made to feel at home. The hosts looked after me and their home/b&b is decorated to a very high standard with 4-star facilities in my bedroom. Good accommodation ideally located for exploring city. Can leave car in car park and walk into city, ten minutes. Hostess very knowledgeable on restaurants and local pubs offering good Irish music. We felt as if we visited good friends, very kind and willing to help as much as they can. They gave us extremely useful advice where to go and what to expect. Room well arranged and comfortable. The owners were so very friendly and helpful and did everything they could to make sure we had a great stay. This was a wonderful place and I hope to go back someday. Definitely recommend. The couple who ran the B and B could not do enough for us. They were excellent! The bed was one of the most comfortable I had in years, and the breakfast was top class!! Overall.. 10/10. Edwina was absolutely wonderful and the Lodge was in an excellent location only a few minutes walk from all the great Galway City shops and restaurants. Fabulous value. I would have preferred a newer shower, and better ventilation in the bathroom. I also would have preferred air conditioning (only because there was a mad heat wave in Galway!). But they are just suggestions, and I would stay again regardless of those things!. The only niggle was the shower which was not very powerful, but that is only my preference, it is not an issue. Shower was a bit bizarre to operate and the water temperature kept fluctuating, but it was only a minor bother. No negatives! Just a suggestion: would be good to have a rubish bin in the room, as the one in the bathroom is quite small. The small shower stall. That I couldn't stay longer - although we will be back!. Electric showers (the norm here for B&Bs). Bathroom in our room was very small. At our request we were moved to a different room for next 2 nights, which was better. We didn't like to leave such a place. Absolutely the only issue I had was that the water pressure in the shower was very low and made it a little difficult. Not a huge deal. That I did not stay another night. The hot water in the shower could have been hotter but this is just a minor issue. It's on a main road so the traffic can be a bit bonkers. The parking space is limited, although I don't see how it could be expanded. Nothing really. I did have to unplug the TV as the red standby light was shining direct into my eyes overnight but that wasn't a big deal. Nothing, really.... very good place. Ensuite a little small. Bathroom shower had no pressure. Bedroom was uncomfortable as the radiators were on and it was too hot. Shower was temperamental. The cooked breakfast was VILE. There was a garlic powder used on some of the food like the mushrooms. It made the rest of the breakfast inedible. room was cold. There is the smell of food all over the place but not inside the room. The pressure of the shower is very low, it takes a bit long to have shower!. Small bathroom. Well worn bed covers. Small room (for 3) Electric shower (you have to turn it off/on before/after use).
