The bathroom (especially the shower) was fantastic.
The breakfast was absolutely amazing. I would recommend the salmon and egg, though they don't offer actual English plain tea.
The location was wonderfully central (opposite tube station), despite that we visited during Tube (underground rail) construction time!

The rooms are fantastic, always clean and very comftoble. The staff were beyond amazing. Always helpful, extremely friendly. Never had such great staff like this at a hotel before.

The owner, Armani and his wife took care of me as if I had been a member of their family. They were so kind and caring, it was incredible. I will go back next year for the Berlinale, without a doubt. Plus the fact that the hotel is 5 minutes from a major u-bahn station, 10 min. away from the Berlinale center, in a lively but safe neighborhood. -

Almost everything about this hotel is fantastic. Very smart rooms with
ultra modern decor. Bathroom open plan with room but toilet does have
sliding door for privacy. Shower is great with multiple modes and no
problems with going hot or cold. Bed is comfy with separate single
duvets. Duvets and pillows are down but not a problem for my feather

It would be impossible to list what I loved about the Axel; I've
searched to find something that could be improved, but the rooms, the
location, the decor, the dedication fo the regitry staff to help in
every way..are all outstanding. I had some shower problems with the
hotwater, and both times, the young man at the desk came almost
immediately to resolve the problem...and did so, graciously.and

My 2 sons and I really enjoyed this quaint hotel that is a hop and a
skip from the Berlin zoo and the Zoo Station S-Bahn and U-Bahn. So much
to see in the vicinity of the hotel, and everything else was an easy
train ride to. We really loved the outside architecture (cool staircase)
and then we always took the flights of stairs to the lobby level (

The location is perfect if You want to shop around Kudam or visit this part of Berlin. And if You want to go east, metro station with direct connection to Warshauer strasse is just few meters. Staff is very helpfull, speaks well english + other languages. It can get hot in summer due to big windows, but the aircon works well. I loved staying in this apartment and was sad to leave it. It was spotlessly clean when I arrived and nicely decorated. Very comfortable bed.
Great location a short walk to the subway and near a street with a number of restaurants and cafes, but set off the main road so it stayed pretty quiet most of the time.

Firstly, after we made our reservation, the owner of the b&b gave us a detailed instructions to get to the place which I find to be of most help. We rented the apartment and although the place was a bit cramped with the sofa bed laid out, it was a very comfortable stay. The apartment was very well equipped.
