The location is perfect. If you are young, you can walk everywhere. As a back up, two metro stations, Bonne Nouvelle and Strasbourg-Saint Denis are only steps away.
I was worried about the traffic noise at night, but on the third floor it was no problem.

We enjoyed our stay at Ibis Lafayette very much. Location is excellent - just a mere moment from Gare du Nord in a quiet side street. I imagine it may be a bit far from the centre to some people but the metro is just 2 min away and it will take you to Louvre in 10 mins. Semard street, quiet and so typically Parisian. Breakfast was
awesome, everything fresh and abundant. The staff very helpful. We
really had a great stay at this hotel which I recommend to other
travellers. Location, 5 minutes walking from Poissoniere metro
station and 10 minutes leisurely walking to the Opera Garnier and
Galeries Lafayette. Great!
