There are two main points which are important for our decision to chose an apartment or a hotel: First, the location is optimal. You only need to walk some steps to the main entrance of the Old Town and the Pile Gate. It´s also not a problem to walk to the Cable Car Station, where the busses go to Cavtat and to the airport. By the way, the busses coming from the airport directly stop at Pile Gate, about 150 meters from the apartment (5 EUR per person). So you don´t need a taxi or a pick up serv. wszystkie opinie »
The apartments are in the perfect location. A home away from home,
nestled in a quiet street just off the Pile gate, they are secluded and
private but within a stones throw you have a grocery store, tourist
information centre, restaurants, bus stops and an incredible view of the
sea. The owner puts a lot of pride and professionalism into these
apartments; it was his family's home, now newly renovated to a high
standard with original stonework and wooden beams peaking through the
chic, boutique .
I would stress on the service the owner, Antony gives to the customers.
I have never received such a service from anywhere. He went to pick us
up, sorted our parking issues, gave us ride back, took our luggage, gave
info about attractions and also introduced to this beautiful gem in
dubrovnik. Thanks a lot Antony Apartment is in perfect location jst
outside the entrance to old town. I would suggest any1 not to stay
inside old town as it is too busy and noisy at night. This apartment is
at doors.
Everything was perfect!!! We felt completely at home from the second we
stepped into the beautiful apartment. Everything was nicely decorated
and perfectly clean! The terrace is huge and allows privacy. Within 2
Minutes you can reach the pile gate and the old town. In contrast to the
noise and smells you have to endure at all the apartments in the side
streets of the old town, the apartment Banovac is in a quiet little
street where you can sleep with open windows without being disturbed by
part.
Me and my wife arrived from Australia and couldnt believe our luck findind this place. To begin with the host was excellent, if you come from the street above( there is a very easy entrance from the bottom but we didnt realise at first) it can be a hard track with luggage down the stairs however the host stayed in contact with me for directions on the phone and came and helped me and my wife bring the luggage down. He was extremely friendly and made us feel at home immediately even had a bottle.
The apartment is in an ideal location just outside the Pile Gate, next to plenty of shops and restaurants but up a quiet street. The shared courtyard is lovely (some reviews describe it as being overlooked, but the owner has since added a divider between the two apartments and a lightweight covering which helps shield the courtyard from view and too much sunlight). The interior is to a very high standard with lots of thoughtful touches and a well equipped kitchen. We had very limited contact wi.
My husband and I stayed at apartments Banovac in Dubrovnik. We were
attending my son's wedding in St Blaise. The accommodation was very
suitable for us as we had very close proximity to the old town which was
just a few minutes away. The apartment was of a very high standard with
all amenities. The owner Anton was extremely helpful to us and ever
drove us back to the airport for our return flight, cheaper than a taxi.
I would highly recommend this apartment as it is very close to the main
area,.
We liked everything about Apartment Banovac. The location is perfect and the decor of the apartment is really special. Lots of finishing touches that you don't usually get in an apartment and all the facilities of a family home. The courtyard is spacious and airy and great for breakfast or relaxing after a day in the Old Town or at the beach. Banovac is very definitely the best apartment we have ever stayed in.
Excellent location just by the entrance to the City entrance (Pile Gate.) Bathroom and bedroom much more than you would expect from 3star property. Kitchen/ living area bit more basic but everything worked very well. English language news on tv. Would recommend the airport pick-up as the place would otherwise would be a bit hard to find- and its cheaper than taxi.
The location was brilliant. So close to the old city. Antun met us in the car park and walked us 50 meters to the apartment. It was so private for two couples with a courtyard garden. Very well appointed with quality fittings, should be four star. Will definately stay again and recommend it highly.
Lovely spacious apartment that is well designed and furnished. Great location a stones throw from the old city walls but is exceptionally quiet considering this. It also has a lovely terrace where you can sit and relax.
Apartment Banovac was very cozy and wonderful. Antun the owner, was very accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed cooking breakfast and dinner together. It was the perfect peaceful get away we needed to reconnect.
Nice, cosy apartment nearby the City Walls. Decorated with elegant forniture, with all services needed. It has a small terrace/garden where to relax.

The amount of hot water available was extremely limited. It was impossible to shower for more than a couple of minutes without it running cold.
There was genuinely nothing not to like. We will stay in Banovac on our next weekend in Dubrovnik.
Very few minus points. A booklet of tips for the holidaymaker would have been useful. We didn't notice the small print that the apartment doesn't take cards- but we were able to sort it out!.

Hot water for shower etc. a little bit limited.
We could not find initially phone numbers had changed which did cause us some stress. The owner eventually came and picked us up from taxi rank. As previously advised I would recommend airport collection too. Once you know where you are the position is fantastic.
