The breakfast the following morning was of good quality and served in our room provided a lot more privacy - great when travelling with children.   Having tried many hotels in Mechelen, and needing to stay when a conference was one, I booked this hotel. I arrived late in the evening, but my key and paperwork were ready, so I was able to nip into the dining room before it closed. The menu is small, but has some unusual items to try. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, probably the best I've stayed in. - Room overlooked the city through a small but functional window, centrally located so walking everywhere was a breeze. Gorgeous converted church with original altar in the dining area combining historic and modern architecture seamlessly. Well stocked breakfast area including champagne. Room was on the top floor in the chapel with a window looking on the large stained glass rose window.
