This was my first time in a B&B on the continent, although a seasoned traveller, I usually find myself slave to the Accor hotel chain. On arrival, we were welcomed at the door by Peter who has to be the friendliest hotelier ever! We were shown to our rooms and breakfast was arranged completely around us. We opted for the continental breakfast which was buffet style but plentiful and varied. On top of this Peter was there to offer us eggs as we liked and bacon. The rooms are quite spacious and as others have commented have the bathroom 'in suite'. I found these to be quirky and as I was room sharing with my partner, the perceived lack of privacy did not bother us. I could understand that if you were room sharing with a friend though, precautions may have to be made to spare any blushes. The beds are all single but are placed together or apart depending on if you have a double or twin booked. This made our 'double' bed enormous. They were very comfortable too. If I ever find myself in Ypres again (it is quite likely I will) then I will definitely be booking with Peter at the Demi Lune. I can't recommend this place enough!
This is exceptionally picky but if I had to find something to grumble about I would say the WiFi signal wasn't very strong in the rooms. I was able to connect and use it but the rest of our party were not so successful. Hardly a crisis though.
The stuff were very friendly and helpful. The room was stylish, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great. The location is very handy at 5 minutes from the market square. Ample free parking.

Peter and Greet were very helpful, the freshly cooked egg, sausage, and bacon for breakfast was very good and this set you up for the day. the evenings were great aswell sat in the garden enjoying a chat and cold beer with them a great place to stay

Such a friendly and warm welcome. Peter and Greet were extremely helpful and when we left we felt that we had made new friends. A plus was that we were able to come and go as we wished. We were also able to use the lovely garden to relax with a drink. Highly recommend for a relaxing and very enjoyable break

Large and spacious room with en-suite; very comfortable bed. Very friendly owner (Peter) who provided very useful information on local area of interest. Excellent breakfast with choice of cooked or continential. Great location a few minutes walk from the centre of Ypres (Ieper); ideal for those with an interest in battlefield tours of the Salient. Parking available on local side-street at no cost.

Excellent facilities in a family home run by a charming couple who speak excellent English. Modern, stylish rooms, good breakfast. Perfect location for visiting Ypres and WW1 sites. Adequate, free on street parking available nearby.
Slightly quirky arrangement whereby the open plan en suite is within the large bedroom. Privacy from view but no door. Did not dislike it but unusual.
The owner was very helpful.
Did not like the toilet, not having a door or roof. A bit too exposed.
Ideally placed in the town and for visiting first world war graves and battlesites

The owners care, for the people that stay with them. It is a family friendly environment, that makes you feel at home, yet have your own space. I aim to visit them again!
Location was perfect, 5 minute walk into the town. Rooms were very spacious. The host was very friendly and accomadating to our requirements and also very knowledgeable regarding the history of the area.
Peter went to a lot of trouble to obtain a wheelchair for one of our group who was temporarily disabled. Also, the welcome, the friendliness and the helfulness of Peter and Greet were much appreciated.

Handy for the main square for dining, the Cloth Hall in the centre of Ypres and an easy walk to the Menin Gate. A warm welcome, nice cooked breakfast at a time to suit the guest not the Hotel. The picture in the dining room of two stone masons working on the lion that sits on top of the Menin Gate took on a whole new significance when Peter told us that the stone masons were his great and great great grandfathers. No reason not to stay here again and probably will
The open nature of the ensuite facility might not suit everyone but I did not find it inhibiting and it is not visible from the beds. I only include this in this section for the sake of balance. The four of us agreed that this would not put us off booking here again
Really just echoing the other reviewers here, the location was a short attractive wander down a cobbled street to the centre of town. The room was nice, and the breakfast delicious (and on Easter Sunday included a beautifully presented basket of chocolate treats) but the nicest thing was the hosts who were warm and kind, helpful and knowlegeble- without being at all in your face. I can't recommend Demi Lune enough :-)

Rooms modern comfortable and clean, bathroom behind screen but spacious and well maintained, tea/coffee making facilities in room and a full English for breakfast. But the one thing that sets this B&B above the rest is Peter and Greet, they made us so welcome, we cannot fault them at all,we will defiantly be returning to Demi Lune, and have no hesitation in recommending this B&B.

Traffic noise in room overlooking the front street. Quite expensive for a B&B. Ariane only slightly more expensive for a single room.
