I loved my stay at the IOH! I came from Tassie for specialist apptms in Perth and stayed for 5 nights. I was amazed at the gorgeous staff and service :) My room was very clean and comfortable and had everything I needed. The food, what can I say? I was blown away at the amazing meals that I had through room service - everything was fresh delicious and so very reasonably priced. Big thanks!.
wszystkie opinie » Comfortable beds & pillows. Clean linen & small balcony with ashtray supplied for smokers. Breakfast quite adequate & lady attending extremely friendly & helpful. Reception staff friendly & professional. Bistro on site .Close enough to walk to beach/burger cafes. After a long day working in Perth, my daughter and I stayed the night. We really appreciated the very pleasant staff at front desk, the lovely hot shower and very clean and comfortable bed, followed by a nice continental breakfast. Good value, and will definitely stay again. We loved the cleanliness and comfort of this seaside hotel, as well as the location. We could see the beach from our balcony, and there were all kinds of places to eat within walking distance. There was also a bus from the beach to the Perth bus station - very convenient. Hotel is a bit 80's in decor but we liked its quirkyness. Food in the bar was super and great value. If you are after something very plush this isn't for you but if you want good value, good food, good location and clean functional accomodation this is perfect. Friendly and helpful staff very clean throughout especially for an old building that had lots of character and history as well. Having the breakfast thrown in was excellent and gave one the feeling of really being on holidays this place was always booked out. Staff....especially the front desk girls: Ms. Irish, Ms. Kiwi, Ms. Catherine.......they were very helpful with our situation and special needs for a sick Grandpa. We liked being at Scarbrough. We stayed on a Tuesday night so their was no night entertainment at the hotel. Room was very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. The "continental breakfast " was just a choice of cereals, anything else you paid for. When you book ask if there is a group performing that night, the noise is terrible,(but it does finish at midnight). as a pensioner i am finding it hard to afford such comfort.. never the less this motel is value for money. Fresh fruit let the breakfast down. The building site next door, had rubbish flying everywhere and got insulation off cuts on my car!!. Hotel greatly in need of an update as everything looked past its use by date. But presumably the new building next door will tackle that problem. No dislikes everything was great. Nothing. Nothing. For the price, it is a very acceptable hotel. The workers on the apartments next door woke us by 7am in the morning. Restaurant was quite pricey for older people. No cold juices in the morning at breakfast, all in jugs at room temperature, no ice for this. Coffee was awful Little choice of bread and some of it was stale. Should be more variety to choose from. Having to pay for wi-fi. The band and noise from the bar, was a bit loud into the night, but my friend Janet liked it. Some areas needed a lick of paint i.e the bathroom door in my room was all scraped with bare wood, the cleaning staff were extremely noisy - they must start around 0500 and were practically shouting outside my room at 0520. Also something is being built next to the hotel - might be an idea to warn guests as a surprise 0700 wakening by a chainsaw isnt good. The office staff and the head cleaner were really grumpy. No greeting as we entered the building. Few smiles. Far too serious. The establishment is aged and a typical 'pub style' facility but is fine for the price. Bit noisy with the building going on next door but management were exeptional in there effort to find us an alternate room away from noise. as an after thought we thought we may of gotten free entrance into the bar to see the band !. None. Lack of smaller menu item no snack sizing?? And no water jug in room. Spa was advertised but the water was too cold to use. Shame. The decor looks a bit tired, a freshen up would give a more hospitable atmosphere. No microwave in the room,I ordered fish dish and the fish was burned I couldn't eat it,remote control didn't work first night batteries were dead and finally patio door couldn't open it was jammed or handle was not user friendly. Our room was advertised as overlooking pool unfortunately we had a huge tree in front of our balcony. I didnt like the fact at the time of booking my stay at the hotel there was no information about the building work next door to the hotel with a 7.30am start. No relaxation what so ever. buffet breakfast was a little too basic; toilet jammed into a corner that doesnt suit anyone over average height. Noisy construction workers next door. Building next door.
