  Staff, area, price (not all hotels had the price for 2 nights, most hotels that were less expensive wanted a 3 nights and since we could only stay 2 nights, this was perfect) - the room was very clean and there was free breakfast every morning and the bathroom was stocked with aveda products

  I have stayed in around 20 different yha hostels in the world and this is the best I have ever stayed in. Excellent security ( all points of entry are covered including your dormitory!! Believe me, not all hostels offer that). So if you are looking for company, you are bound to - Located a short walk to upper broadway which is jam packed full of everything u could ask for. Everything !! short walk to the #1 subway line which takes u all the way down to battery park. There are housing projects directly behind thebuilding, but there was no trouble at all & that just added to the whole atmosphere of staying in ny. They put on several events on each day & night so u get to meet a lot of other travelers & explore in a group. There is an outlet & little shelf

  I felt very good there. It's not a typical hotel, each room is actually just a very small space of floor which is taken mostly of the bed and just a small cupboard, and the room is separated from the others just by a tiny wall. So you feel like sleeping in a large space of beds, but at least you don't see the person sleeping nearby. Although it do... hva folk sier » esn't sound perfect, it was really nice there. The atmosphere was great, the staff was very friendly. I guess, I got lucky with good "neighbours", so - This place can only be as good as the people who stay there - the walls between rooms in the sleeping area don't reach the ceiling and every sneeze is audiable to everyone (you can't hear check-in counter or lobby area, as they are in a different room). During my stay, the hotel was fully booked and the guests were backpackers from Canada, us and Europe. All guests were very quiet and considerate of others.
