Barstow was a good stop for us as we were travelling from Las Vegas to San Francisco, it was the first stop on our journey as we didn't want to drive too far on the first day. Very friendly staff, hotel looked like brand new. Everything was so clean there, room and beds were amazingly clean in comparison to other hotels we've been to on our trip. Very good continental breakfast. Even though the hotel building was close to the freeway, we didn't notice absolutely anything regarding the noise. Superb hotel, must recommend !

Motel has rooms with view to the unexpectedly large Pool. They have a back door and even a small terrace. We were a party of four with older children and the room was spacious and absolutely sufficient. We used the guest laundry and everything was in good working order and the prices were absolutely ok. The complimentary breakfast was a nice add on! We can strongly recommend the California Inn.

Very clean and comfortable. Had my pet with me and the fee was nominal; they didn't give me a room with crappy carpet to accommodate the pet. Free breakfast was hot, if uninspired. Staff was nice. -
