  Lovely views across the field to the lake and fells. Room was spacious, clean and very comfortable with bathrobes and slippers provided. The room we were in had apparently not yet been refurbished but the decor was fresh and tasteful. Julie made us very welcome, even providing tea on arrival. The breakfast was very good. We could not fault Ullswater View and we hope to be back later on in the year. ps. Thank you for waiting for us as we didn't arrive until after check-in. It was service with a smile.

  This hotel is not cheap, but it is worth every penny. We received a warm welcome on arrival. The staff are excellent - attentive without being obsequious, the room was perfect and the food superb.   We stayed in the new Silver Suite - it was extremely comfortable with a most beautiful view across the water. Needless to say, but the food was magnificently presented and absolutely delicious. The staff were exceptionally courteous and delightfully friendly. You felt you were staying with friends. We certainly hope to visit again. - Warm, friendly welcome on arrival and kind assistance from Russell. Comfortable room with magnificent view of the lake. We had originally booked for two nights but had to leave after just one night due to family reasons - hotel staff were very kind in this regard. Excellent breakfast.
