  Ticking the boxes as good seems a tad unfair, very good would be more apt, and, considering what a country inn can offer, compared to a top country manor house for example, it was excellent. We were delighted with our stay and can recommend it. Nearby Tenbury, whilst not the greatest tourist destination, does have at least three notable features. ... hva folk sier » The view from the bridge into town over the river Teme is nice, as is the Art Deco Regent cinema, but the real treat is the unique Pump Room building. - We loved everything about this hotel. It was very comfortable with everything on hand. Ate in the restaurant the three nights we were there and the food was superb, as was the service. Very friendly owners who were knowledgable about the history and surrounding countryside, and always had time to talk to you.Breakfasts were excellent too and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  We stayed two nights as we had to be in the area. We were made welcome from the moment we arrived. The pub was busy which gave it a really nice atmosphere and log fires were great. We had dinner both nights and shared main courses which they split onto two pates in the kitchen and were very generous with the vegetables & chips. The bar had four draught - A great inn with lots of history and atmosphere, obviously well loved by the owners and locals alike. Fantastic place to stay if you want to visit towns, cities and NT properties in Hereford, Shropshire and Worcestershire. All the rooms are tastefully decorated, very clean and very well equipped.
