  I had just one, very minor, irritation at The Kensington Studios. The AC machinery outside and below our room seemed not to stop at night. As i say, only a minor irritation as it didn't stop me from sleeping. Now the positives. My first visit to London was only aided by my stay at The Kensington Studios. We found the tube system ex - We were very impressed with the layout of the studio room and the design of it. The heated floors was a bonus when we came in out of the cold! The bathroom was excellent, and it was a major factor in our choice of hotel and our comfort during our stay.   Location! It's in a quiet side street just next to covent garden, absolutely brilliant for shopping and going out! They have single-glased windows but you don't hear a thing from what's going on around covent garden! The rooms have a traditional english interior design, which we love! It made the room feel very homely, although it's a little tight... hva folk sier » ! Helpful, friendly staff. We got offered to have our cases carried up to our room, but they weren't heavy so we didn't mind doing it ourselves. Howev - We liked absolutely everything about the Fielding. It's a little bit quirky which makes it even more perfect! Fabulous location, so quiet too! We walked to Spittalfields and beyond and back! We live on the south coast and were woken by seagulls! Felt like home from home. Manageress/owner was so friendly & welcoming, made us feel individual rather than just another guest. Bed was oh-so-comfy, and the shower had a seperate hand-spray too, hooray! 10 out of 10, a little gem!

  For a small hotel the facilities were excellent. I just wanted somewhere for the night to rest after visiting some of London's attractions with my young daughters.
