  The breakfast was just amazing!!! Was better than any B&B that we have stayed at, very impressed. For what we payed, room was very basic and slightly on the small side. I still view this as a positive as we are realists and expect to pay for what we got, the room was slightly small BUT so was the price for this accomodation. It suited us perfectly for two nights and could - The hotel was in a great area with plenty of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance, the hotel was easily reached on foot from both the railway and bus station. The rooms were clean, comfortable had a safe at no extra cost and opening windows The breakfast in the morning was excellent with so much choice!!!

  Spacious and comfortable- I think staff struggle when it is busy to be available but it does have a rather welcoming informality about the place. Don't worry about no breakfast- lots of cafe's nearby- I HIGHLY recommend "the Square" cafe round the corner- superb at very reasonable prices and lovely staff!   I highly recommend Caravel Guest House. It’s located in the centre of the New Town close to the railway station and the shopping area. The rooms are cozy and the toilets are very clean.   I would highly recommend this Guest House. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The vegetarian breakfast was deliciously unusual, I had a banana and burnt syrup pancake. I was very kindly given a plateful of food as I had mentioned that I have a long train journey ahead of me.   We booked a double and got a very spacious and comfortable room downstairs with 2 beds (queen & a twin). Check-in was quick. Heaters worked great for the chilly Dec weather. The shower always had hot water. Breakfast buffet consisted of cereal, toast, jam, yogurt, cheeses, pastries, fruit, juice, coffee, and tea was perfect to start the day. B... hva folk sier » us stopped right outside the guesthouse but we did not need it much as the walk was a comfortable 15 mins to royal mile. Lots of places to eat nearby. - The B&B has really nice, with high ceilings and mouldings. Owner was very friendly and a nice welcoming host. Bed was comfortable, rooms were warm. Free Wi-Fi good for checking out local restaurants etc. Is about a mile walk from train station, with a nice bar restaurant called "Reverie" near-by on the way in to town. Breakfast was good, with coffee or tea to suit. We would stay again.
