The staff is friendly, it's within easy walking distance of the tourist area and Waverly station, and the breakfast is outstanding! I had a top-floor room this time, which actually had a pretty good view. I highly recommend this hotel.

  A lovely apartment (Haddington Place), which despite being on a very busy corner is quiet (esp. in the bedrooms) with loads of light. The lady who checked us in (Fiona?) was very pleasant and helpful - good restaurant and shopping suggestions, and handled the fact that the en-suite bathroom was unavailable due to a leak they couldn't find by provi... hva folk sier » ding a good discount. Excellent location for everything (bus stops are about two blocks up, so no loitering near-by). Linens provided were very nice. - There's nothing to complain about this beautiful modern, spacious apartment. We travelled with our 25 yr old daughter. Location was excellent. Nice and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's about a 20 minute walk to Princes Street. We did not mind. There are buses going that way every 10 mins. Apartment had a nice homely feel with a lovely private garden which we enjoyed. Much better than living in an hotel room. I would definitely recommend this apartment.

The service wasfabulous and the hotel was fantastic - will be returning - I travel an awful lot and I must say the Scotsman is one of the best hotels I have ever been in.
