  My husband and I stayed at the South Place Hotel for a week's vacation. The hotel is in the heart of the business district, so it is a quieter neighborhood on the weekends, but bustling during the week. There are a number of nearby pubs, and a Marks & Spencer across the street if you require groceries. Location is good for the east end of London as is only 5 mins walk from Tower Bridge.

There are always people in the surroundings streets, at every hour of the day and of the night.
