The owners were very friendly and helpful, Jan especially made us feel very welcome and at home, very nice gentleman. The rooms are gorgeous! The apartments are spacious, very clean and the lay out lovely. The beds are amazing!! Bedrooms have everything you need, (including decent hairdryers!) and the bathroom was lush! We had my partners 6 year old daughter with us and she LOVED it here! We will stay again for certain. Thank you Jan :)

A very good clean hotel and especially value for money. The owner was extremely helpful and the location in summer would be outstanding although busy as there is a caravan park next door. Loved every bit about this place. Friendly, helpful staff, clean rooms, even the little extras provided such as shampoo, cup of tea on arrival, better than more upmarket places we have been at, food well prepared and reasonably priced, kids food needs met, good outside spaces and garden for kids to let off steam after a long drive, breakfast was yummy and generous.

Nearly everything!! This hotel is on the river on St George's Quay,
a five minute walk to the Castle and into town for Lancaster's
bars, restaurants and shops. It has 4 stars from Visit England and
deservedly so, Our room although a wee bit on the small side was

I booked the Wagon and Horses specifically for its location. We were travelling on the Steam train journey on the Seattle Carlisle railway. It is a 10 minute walk to the station. As a bonus it is right next to an excellent cycle path which takes you to Morecombe.
The pub itself is very clean, comfortable and welcoming. We had a very early start for the train (before breakfast started) and so they provided us with a breakfast basket with milk and cereals the night before and as an added bonus,
