Hva folk sier
I had asked for quiet rooms, and it was quiet and I slept well. The manager was very helpful to me with Directions etc. The meal was lovely and the prices reasonable. The location of the Hotel was perfect. We will hopefully go again next year. Reasonable rate for single occupancy.
It does not look great on the photos but it's quite nice.
Location is good to visit Skye, excellent value for money, breakfast was as good as in more expensive B&B that we stayed to.
I would recommend this hotel for one or two nights.alle vurderinger »
location stunning - recommended
hotel staff nice and friendly
nice small town but quite a few bars etc.
saved a long journey into portree for us where we normally stay
fantastic Indian restuarant at the top of the road but busy.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The fireplace in the lobby was so
welcoming and cozy. There was an accordion player who also sang and
played the old Scottish and Irish songs one night.
We liked ev erything about the hotel. it was in a beautiful spot and also handy for anything else you wanted to do. The sunset in the evening was stunning and everyone was very friendly.
Hotel stuff in the restaurant were so friendly and professional. Breakfast was gorgeous. Clean and nice rooms. Location is also the best. You can see the bridge in front of the hotel.
I had a spacious and comfortable and light single room with shower and a view to the front.
My bicycle was stored inside and arrangements to leave for 06.22 train were not a problem.
Reasonable price. Nice location and views. I stayed here a year earlier and the room was much better this year - freshly refurbished and all the facilities I needed.
The hotel is within easy reach of the mountains and other outdoor attractions, and also the Skye bridge.
The breakfast was excellent and served by friendly staff.
Very friendly reception - a real welcome, well informed and on the ball.
Room adequate, but poor curtaining so room remained too light throughout
the night.
We found the hotel very comfortable with very efficient staff. It was clean and the room was just what we expect from a good class hotel.
Friendly and attentive staff, very good food, very comfortable and clean room.Very good value for money and beautifully located.
The front of the hotel has a fantastic view of the Skye Bridge which is
toll free now.
Plenty of space as a normal size hotel.
The price and location were great. Good hearty breakfast in the morning that kept us going till the afternoon.
Attentive staff
The lady who served me at Dinner and Breakfast was particularly friendly and helpful.
The location
The staff
The matress
The food
The bath / shower
The private parking for my motor cycle.
The views from the front of the hotel were stunning, it was worth the cost for the scenery alone.
The staff were all very helpful and went out of their way to make our holiday very pleasant.
The good view from the window (Pure luck, I know), a good breakfast and a comfortable bed.
Staff was very very efficient....great rates.....nice breakfast....very helpful....
Location was very good. Locals friendly. Good food. Friendly staff. Overall happy.
Excellent location, extremely friendly and helpful staff, lovely comfortable bed.
Reception open until very late, clean rooms, easy to reach, good value for money.
Value for money. The willingness of staff to address any problems immediately.
I loved the imitation coal fire which was lovely to welcome you in .
Great service, friendly staff and a central location for day trips.
View from room over the loch to the Skye bridge was stunning.
the location and local venues, views to die for.
staff very friendly and gave excellent service.

location.cleanliness.quiet.
The breakfast was lovely.
- Bath in the room
-.
Very friendly staff.
nice quiet location.
Excellent staff.
Good breakfast.
friendly staff.
Nice old hotel, nice bed. The rooms could do with updating. The passage needed updating and cleaning. Although we loved the look of the hotel and the old world charm, it was like a rabbits warren inside trying to find your way around up stairs .
Excellent location right next to Skye bridge, easy to find and a good starting point for exploring Isle of Skye.
Decent restaurant (Castle Moil) and lively bar nearby (Saucy Mary's), good night had by all.
The lounge/bar area in Kings Arms Hotel was very comfortable, although had to queue for 15 minutes to get a drink because only one member of staff on duty.
Old but comfortable rooms. Breakfast and dinner very good. Restaurant's staff was great.
The staff were excellent, helpful and pleasant to deal with. You could not fault them.
Average accommodation really, nothing special, but very competitively priced.
Room a bit dark, My Son is disabled , he did struggle with distance to room.. but next time the Hotel said they will accommodate this.
a bit over priced but it was busy
a bit tired in terms of decor
staff struggling sue to sheer number of guests.
No wifi at all. Little too strong smell of cleaning chemical (?) in the bedroom area.
Missing breakfast!!.
I thought it was a little bit on the expensive side for a fairly ordinary hotel!.
Dining room staff not so friendly. Denied the choice of table, when with
a little housekeeping, one with a good view could have been offered.
Cooked breakfast was tired (a re-heat job), coffee was really terrible
(as is most hotel coffee - have hoteliers never heard of Costa,
Starbucks, etc.?) Sliced bread? Who eats it nowadays? Breakfast cheap -
but pretty awful. But also pretty typical of uk hotels.
The only 'bad' comment is that double glazing would really benefit the hotel and probably save on their heating bills as during the time we were there, because it was a cold snap in the weather, we made use of the heating in the room.
Can do with more attention to room cleaning. It is ok as a hotel but can
be improved.
Good location as a starting point to visit Skye.
If not eating inside the hotel (adequate restaurant) other choices are limited unless driving to Broadford 6 to 7 miles away.
Nothing wrong with the hotel with friendly staff but Broadfort has a better choice of seafood. That is all.
Rooms are fair not luxurious. Simple but very clean. Decor a little tired.
NO WIFI and not great mobile reception over island in addition to this. Good if you want to get away from it all.
Lack of secure parking (motorcycle).
The Bar
The 'tired' state of decoration.
Very small lift for no of rooms.
Bathroom could have done with some refurbishment, but nothing serious.
Wi-fi was not available.
Shower very mouldy taps very tight to turn on and off. Could be difficult for the elderly. Etc.
Nothing really.
Breakfast could offer a bit more if variety.
Lack of bar food menu. The catering seems to be geared to the coach tour visitors.
No dislikes.
no minus points.
no mattress cover or under sheet.
Fire alarm sounding at 0330hrs.
bed mattres lumpy.
Lack of lift for luggage from ground floor.
value of money - too much.
no wifi.
No Wifi.
car parking.
- No WI-FI
- Doors are closing at midnight sor we have to come back before as Cinderella
- Walls are thin so the rooms are noisy
- Restaurant closing at 8:00 pm.
No net curtains at bathroom window. Very surpisingly, no internet access - not even in the public areas. Told to go to Saucy Mary's Lodge down the road.
No kettle in my room.
The passage needed updating and cleaning. Although we loved the look of the hotel and the old world charm, it was like a rabbits warren upstairs trying to find your way around.
Inconsiderate guests making too much noise when leaving at 7am.
Room quite small, bathroom walls covered in mould. Rooms windows open onto busy pub car park so unable to leave windows open.
Old hotel. Corridor carpet smells. Urges for new furnitures and total modernisation. No WIFI.
One expect reception's staff to be more polite and friendly with clients.
The rooms were poorly kitted out (partial and cheap renovation), and the breakfast was clearly made of cheap components. If I had paid half what I did, this really wouldn't have been an issue, but it was very expensive for what you got.
