  I stayed at this hotel for a romantic break and was really pleased to have been upgraded to a fantastic four poster room. Excellent food, really great staff ( Andre and Michelle never stopped smiling!!) and a lovely location.   Beautiful location, stunning building, very comfortable bed , fantastic food, handy to shops. Very friendly staff, just overall a relaxing enjoyable experience.   We chose The Bull because it was pet (dog) friendly. We booked a room advertised as a small double which turned out to be the most spacious "small" room we have ever stayed in. The room was a lovely garret room with a full double bed, a desk, two night tables, a full bathroom and plenty of space to move around. We had dinner in the restaurant which was really up to Michelin star - The reception was warm and friendly with the log fire burning, the staff were friendly and tentative to everyone's needs. I chose the small double bedroom which turned out to be 'cosy', no that small you felt squashed. Situated in a lovely Cotswold's village but close to Oxford it was an excellent location for my business trip and also sightseeing.

  The evening manager / barman was very friendly and ensured I had the best possible option on available rooms to meet my situation [a late booking]. The evening meal and choice was stunning. The Chef deserves a mention his steak was fabulous. The room was very presentable, clean and new upgrade to his/hers bathroom suite. I left a tip with the manager as I forgot - The location was just perfect .. right in the heart of Burford's pretty village high street. Cosy open fire and good food available throughout the day. Live music on the Saturday evening which caused no problem re noise levels etc. Our room was the Jay Room and it had a gorgeous big en suite bathroom/dressing room and the bedroom window overlooked a quaint courtyard and cottagey roof-tops ... Cotswold magic!

  Everything about the hotel was first class; the staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was superb and the food was excellent.   We had a great meal in the Lamb restaurant. We actually stayed next door in the Bay Tree Inn, however, because of a booking mixup. The room there was splendid - Very pleasant staff and the hotel was full of character, the food was excellent, we would recommend it to friends and family

  We really enjoyed our stay. The staff in the bar made us feel at home. They reserved a great table for us and helped me wind up our 9 year old son. Even went as far as making his meal look like a smiley face and then when he put his fave next to it they put ketchup on him instead of the plate of food. The beer garden and the grounds are lovely and we found a whole lo - We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at The Fox Inn. We found the staff delightful and very helpful.   The staff were very accommodating and went out of their way to make us feel special, such as preparing a meal especially for us when we arrived late on friday night (they even bought it up to our room when we asked).   This is an absolute gem.It is situated in quiet, un spoilt countryside, and is very picturesque. Yet it is easily reached by car. We stayed on the occasion of my wife's 70th birthday, and loved it.
