The Welly is a great place to stay. We've been here twice. Staff are friendly, rooms tastefully decorated, the beds are comfortable and there's amazing coffee in the rooms. Despite being over a pub it's actually quite quiet. The hotel rooms are really lovely and very comfortable and a good size. The food in the restaurant was excellent the dinner and breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. A relaxed and friendly stay .
alle vurderinger » Sunday / Monday: The Wellington, £86 for pure class and luxury, great food and good service. Monday/Tuesday: Premier Inn, £126 for soulless mediocrity. I wish the wellington would open a chain.... the room was lovely, just what we needed. breakfast was good. We visited Bristol on a family matter, the hotel was situated very conveniently, and we were able to park each time we returned. Excellent welcome.Very comfortable room.Liked it so much we had Sunday Lunch there which was also excellent. A very good find which we will certainly repeat on our next visit. the room, the bathroom, coffee and tea, breakfast, bus stop in front, the staff. Good hotel and location (quiet). The room was very good, a little noisy from traffic as it was at the front of the building. Beautiful shower. Excellent Room. Fantastic Bathroom with large shower and bath. I slipped in the shower and bruised my arm. A non slip mat would be useful. A mirror near a plug socket would be handy for using a hair dryer. it lacks a wardrobe for storage, poor soundproofing on the corridor. The breakfast (continental)costing £7.95 each was included in the price of the room. However a full English breakfast costing £7.95 was extra to the cost of the room, I should have liked to have had this but that would have added another £15.90 to the bill. This made no sense!. Nothing. reception at back of bar..couldn't see it . So thought we were in the wrong place . Meals: Evening meal was good and wholesome, but service was poor - how many times do you need to ask for a soup spoon? Why does the main course come half way through the starter? Breakfast was a bit of a joke. Extra on the room price (of £99), and can't have a simple continental style (Sorry, out of granola, fruit juice is extra, etc). Won't be staying here again. Thought the cooked items for the breakfast were too pricey. It's a pub with VERY nice rooms but the staff don't seem to know how to check people in or out. I couldn't get a receipt despite being told it would be emailed and I chased again but no success. Cost of breakfast plus extra cost of tea and juice. Should be included. traffic noise outside. Price of breakfast on top of the room price. Could only stay the 1 night!!. Diffficulty working out shower. Instructions required. Noisy because of music in pub. too much money to stay in a pub but it was a last minute thing, had to then pay £15 for us both for breakfast. Sent back the soup too watery, main course meat pie filled with vegetables and a weak sauce Food £15 for main course salad in small round dish £3.50 Did complain about the food and did not bother to try the breakfast My answer to number 5 is yes if you do not eat there. Beside busy main road and windows not double glazed so noisy by 5am!!!!. The new bathroom & shower in Room 7 stunk of raw sewage, so bad, when I opened the shower door, the stench almost made me throw up, yes that bad, so could not have a shower, I did report this when checking out, hopefully they will do something about it !!! Only wall pegs in room over twin bed for hanging clothes up, Food average, room located on road side so lots of traffic noise, would not stay here again.
