An old period hotel in a great location. Friendly manager and helpful. I felt relaxed watching the TV and sipping tea. Ideal for a beach holiday. Good value for money in Brighton area. Peaceful location.
Shower was cold to start but warmed up after a few minutes.
Good value, convenient location
Strange lighting in room
Friendly good welcome very helpful
Good medium accommodation for an overnight stay
It was excellent value for money. Good sized room. Extremely friendly owner. Only 40 yards from the front, but in a lovely quiet square.
Decor needed a freshen up, but thats only a minor point.
We enjoyed a lovely stay in this hotel. Very friendly and helpful. We will be returning again.
location comfortable beds
toilet seat that needed fixing
Beautiful building and location
A little bit tired
Welcoming host, very helpful. Room comfortable. Quiet location but 10 minutes walk to Brighton centre
Location is fantastic, the property is iconic, room nicely decorated, owner lovely
The owner is very helpful and friendly. The location is beautiful. The room was a good size with good amenities
Perhaps the room could be modernised a little bit with regards to the style.
Nice hotel and friendly manager and staff.
A warm welcome and the room size and facilities. The price was also very good
The room was a little tired in appearance.
Great location and view of square and sea. Period building and comfortable room with tea/coffee and not bad value for Brighton
Quite dated decor and shower wasn't working properly Breakfast extra
Charming rooms and a friendly staff
relaxed atmosphere
Very friendly helpful staff everything you need is there.
Staff very friendly, was offered choice of room on arrival, easy to check in/out. secure hotel, front door closed late evening but guests had front door key to come and go as they pleased.
Staff and service
Nothing
Very friendly owner who allowed me a choice of rooms. Great location and reasonably priced (compared to the rest of Brighton it was a bargain).
Slightly harassed waitress who wouldn't do a breakfast at 0955.
Very friendly helpful staff Location was perfect, there's a bus stop 3 mins from hotel which can take you to Brighton or hove in a few minutes!
I was in a room in the upper parts of the hotel. Long walk when carrying a suitcase.
Very comfortable, easily accessible and friendly
No complimentary shampoo & shower gels (fortunately had my own) and no breakfast option at the time needed (7am)
staff friendly , our room had balcony, plenty tea coffee,
shower leaked would not stop running ,large window no lock on it , this dident bother me but would bother some ppl
The bed was absolutely fantastic, , linen and towels of very good quality. Free wi-fi that actually works. The owner was very nice and helpful. The localisation of the hotel is great, 2 minutes from the water front and very, very peaceful.
The worst by far was the fact that my window had a wall right in front of it so this was all I saw, what was terrible. I did ask for a room on the ground floor but this should be mentioned, nobody wants to book a hotel by the sea side to face a wall. Breakfast at 9.30 in the wkd what was too late as I was there to work(8.30 In the week though)
Excellent friendly staff, beautiful front room with four poster bed
The friendly little bar and the hospitable proprietor
Excellent all round experience and a great opportunity to stay in a quiet Period Hotel and Location next to the sea front and walking distance to the town and restaurants. Hotel manager very helpful and friendly, highly recommend this hotel.
I liked the power shower / the continental breakfast was value for money at £5 / my bed was comfortable and the television was near the bed and easy to use / coffee was available in my room which was thoughtful and shampoo/cream/bodywash and towels were provided which was immensely useful
There was a bit of chatter coming up from the beach and some shots fired to see off seagulls late in the evening - but things soon quietened down by midnight and I had two very comfortable nights rest
Great location, good room and helpfull manager.
Beautiful quiet location where I got a great night's sleep. Lovely bed in luxurious room with beautiful view over Regency period square. Free wifi, lots of tea and coffee and shampoo and conditioner etc - best discovery ever!
Friendly atmosphere. Staff were helpful and friendly. Perfect location.
Very nice. Lovely owner, made you very welcome and so helpful, he even got us some parking passes, comfortable bed and clean room
Nothing not to like, this hotel does everything it should
Friendly staff / convenient location / parking voucher / bright rooms / customer care
Limited parking
Staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms we were given were spacious, clean and comfortable.
I liked the relaxed, friendly atmosphere of the Brunswick Square Hotel. A beautiful setting, just minutes from the seafront. The beds were clean and comfortable and the single room had a bath as well as a shower.
I (think I) got a very good deal. It was a very convenient location for what I wanted. The room was warm and had a nice view. The hotel manager was friendly. It was unpretentious. DIY Tea and coffee in room. Clean towels every day
The shower room was tiny and past its sell-by date. The basin was barely usable it was so cramped. The shower only had a ceiling outlet and no hand-shower attachment
Very welcoming and clean. Lovely building with decor to complement it. Owner was very nice and interested in what we had planned. If we needed a taxi he went out of his way to get us one. Vegetarians were also catered for with the breakfast. We were able to buy parking permits and park right outside the hotel which was less than half the price of a multistorey. Room itself was very comfortable and clean. Hot water was constantly available. Tea and coffee making facilities were also provided and so was free wi-fi. Good choice of tv channels too.
Not a good view from room but wasn't a major problem as didn't spend much time in the room. Otherwise nothing else was a problem.
Very big room, friendly and accommodating staff, (thanks Nasi) roomy bath, close to town and sea front.
Toilet was a bit grubby but I am ultra fussy in that way.
The friendliness of staff
We had to leave
Hotel was clean, friendly and in good location
Friendly staff and good location
helpful and friendly staff, location-close to city centre&seaside but at the same time away from noisy streets - a quiet place at the time of my visit, so I could sleep well. Room was clean and well maintained. Budget friendly - very good value for money.
Nothing to dislike, just a suggestion: breakfast could be served early around 07:30 or 08:00, not late. May be some guests who are there for business and have to leave the hotel earlier in the morning might welcome this service.
Friendly Staff, Balcony, Comfortable room
position, quiet yet convenient, friendly confortable
TV not able to get a picture
It was very quiet, near the seafront, the bed was very comfortable
Amazing building, very hospitable host, very close to the sea and shops/restaurants.
Lots of stairs.
Very welcoming staff. Room was clean and comfy. Excellent location. Would go to the hotel again.
Room was small and compact.
The location, the Spanish receptionist! The ability to buy a parking permit for the day
Everything felt like it needed upgrading. No parking permits available for day 2!
room was a good size, had chaisse lounge, with comfortable bed. plenty of tea/coffee materials. great location and views.
room and especially ensuite are 'tired' and need overhaul and redecoration. although plenty of road parking; finding space was hard.
In my room I have booked I found a lovely romantic style of the bed, facilities were good enough for price I did pay. I felt there wery good and nice.
I would not say that I did not like it but the cleaning could have been better, the facilities like shower could have been change and window neeeded more attention as they are very old and have broken frames. But I did like it the hotel.
Pleasant staff and close to amenities
Lack of modernisation.
