  This was a small boutique hotel with only 14 rooms. The room was beautifully decorated and all our needs catered for, all the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble, the Chef stayed late to ensure we had a meal on our late arrival.   Really enjoyed our stay at the Phildene, the staff couldn't have beenmore helpful and suggested a number of things to do and see whilst wewere staying, Room was very comfortable and everything you needed wasthere also the breakfast was top notch, would definitely go back. We actually booked a small double room from Mon-Fri and when we arrived we found they had actually upgraded us to a bigger room with no extra charge! :) We were made to feel so welcome and Sally & Joanne were so friendly and hospitable! The location was just off the sea front within easy reach of the attractions and tram stop. The en-suite (shower, no bath) was clean, tidy with tea/coffee, TV and comfortable bed. Hair dryer, bathrobes basic toiletries etc were all provided, Breakfast was at a sensible time, and excellent. Full English meant that - plus a Scottish touch of a little haggis if you wanted it!
