  The staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly in the restaurant, where we enjoyed a quality breakfast and later an excellent evening meal when we watched the sun set over the Menai Straits. Unlike in many chain hotels, the original leaded windows could be opened wide, allowing a refreshing breeze on a warm night. - Clean, comfortable, well equiped room. Helpful staff, which included contacting us post visit about a possible lost property item that turned out not to be ours. Good room service option if too tired for the dining room after a long days walking. A good breakfast, with freshly prepared options, and a view of the Menai Strait from the windows.

  Our stay at the Abbeyfield was great. England Wales 6 Nation's match was on, only English man in there and was made to feel very welcome. Breakfast and the evening meal were to a high standard. If ever in the area again i would have no hesitation in booking again. - The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Nice bar and good food.

The rooms are large and bright, with lovely décor and furnishings, and views over either the well maintained garden areas or towards Menai Straits, and the breakfast certainly set us up for a full day's sightseeing. Our room was large and so well decorated. The little touches (i.e. terry bathrobes, Q-tips, cotton balls and hair dryer) made our room extra special. This room lacked for nothing. Susan is an exceptional hostess (I say this rather than proprietor). She went out of her way to give us suggestions on where to eat and what to see (even including the codes to put into our GPS).
