  We loved everything about the bed and breakfast. Family owning the place was lovely, helpful and welcoming, the room was incredibly clean, tidy and comfortable. Breakfast was huge and nice, had we stayed there longer, we would probably gain lots of weight because of huge portions we were getting! The rooms are comfy, clean and very well designed. The breakfast was purely natural from local farms and so much tasty.   The location was excellent - a sea-view room is certainly worth having. Despite the atrocious weather (and no visit possible to Rathlin Island) it was a warm and comfortable base for alternative trips.   Hilary and Alan were fabulous hosts and made us feel welcome from the moment they collected us in the Harbour. The evening meal was wholesome and much welcome after a long day on the road. They can provide a packed lunch should you require one. The best thing that can be said is that we are already looking forwa - Jane and I stayed one night at Arkell House.The owners,Hilary and Alan, made us very welcome from the outset.They are both friendly, informative and eager to help and give advice about the history of Rathlin,and what to do and see.Hilary also cooked us a superb meal at a very reasonable cost on the night of our stay.Also the accomodation was delightful and good value.
