Hotellet er lokalisert i hjertet av den gamle bydelen i Istanbul og det er kun kort gåavstand til attraksjoner som Aya Sopia, den blå moskeen eller Topkapi palasset. Om det foretrekkes å reise med trikk er det bare 1 minutt til nærmeste stasjon. Hotellet er nylig renovert og rommet var lyst, rent og komfortabelt med aircondition og minibar. Ansatte var svært hyggelige og hjelpsomme, alltid rede til å være behjelpelige med de minste ønsker for at du skulle få et komfortabelt og hyggelig opphold
Mindre detaljer som kanskje bør justeres i etterkant av den nylig gjennomførte renoveringen. Men ingenting av større betydning

Great Budget Hotel, 5 mins walk from the Blue Mosque and in an upcoming part of town. It's right by the City Walls. Staff were excellent and friendly.

Perfect adress (5min to Hagia Sofia / Blue Mosque / Basilica Cistern, 15min to Arabian Market, Galata Bridge) Staff is very friendly (with small exclusions) and speaks good English Nice Terrasse on the roof where you have a super view
Breakfast wasn't that good: very Turkish but it wasn't really eatable as a Swiss person. Sometimes there was nothing warm to drink, not even Tea...
The staff were very friendly and helpful, it was a great location, very good breakfast. It is budget accomodation so the room was small but no problem and a great base for exploring Istanbul.
A bit noisy
the staff was really friendly and helpful,especially mr Ali and mr.Yssa were open-minded and always smiling.they resolved every problem that we had.because of them we're thinking about coming back.the rooms were clean and at breakfast we had various and fresh sorts of food.we recommend this hotel to everyone.
weak wi-fi signal and lots of noises because of the cars and tourists.we suggest the introduction of more romanian tv channels(at least the most important ones).
I really enjoyed while I stayed in the hotel. This time was the second time I came back here because of atmosphere. It means very nice staff , friendly , helpful.I got very useful and enjoyable time in Istanbul because of their information.If I travel to the Turkey I definitely would go to the preferred old city.

While I used to stay here I and my family really enjoyed ,even when we went to the other city for more holiday kids told me ,they missed here because staffs were friendly,helpful ,full hospitality ,very patient and kind with smile.Every where clean and tidy .If I came back to the Turkey I would come back here for sure.

Location is perfect. Hotel is nearby Sultanahmet mosque and other interesting places. We went there only for sleeping. We were glad. All is ok.
The hotel is located near topkapi palace one of the most famouse tourist visit sites also its near to the transportation means. Hotel is clean and quiet its good for limited budgets. ( reasonable price according to its location ) Tha staff is very cooperative spicialy a guy maned Essa he is Avery helpful and nice guy I think he is the owner of the place. In general the hotel is a good place to stay in and i recommend it for larg families and groups
Wifi is slow inside the room Since its old place there was no elevator. The bath room ventilation is not good.
The staff was very welcoming and hostile to us. The location was great. It was a family feel like environment.
The amenities were bad. The bathrooms need a full rehab. The room service phone was not working. The carpet on the stairs really needs to be changed.

The staff is more than friendly and very helpfull. They will do anything to make your stay as pleasant as you like. Also the location of the hotel is good. In the oldcity of Istanbul, in a quiet street and within walking distance to shops, restaurants and attractions.
The bathroom is out of date and can be a bit more cleaner, just like the room itself.

hotel needs upgading
The staffs are amazing! Serhat and Yusof are the most amazing! Very very helpful and they really know their historical istanbul. The lady that handles the breakfast was really friendly too. The lobby area is very family friendly and the teas and coffees at the lobby are practically free flow. The rooms are kept clean.
The breakfast could be varied say every other day instead of same menu breakfast everyday.... Maybe the aircond need some servicing. When it's really hot outside the aircond are annoyingly not cold enough.
Perfect location in walking distance to main points of interests of Istanbul, moreover only 5 minutes from the tram stop; very polite and helpful staff; very good ration price/range and quality of provided services.

The value for money is just perfect. We were 8 people, and all the three bedrooms were very clean. The position is one of the best ones. I have been living in Istanbul for 6 months as an Erasmus student. I know the city well enough, so I can say you should choose this hotel for sure. The staff is very helpful. The area during the night is silent.
They have no additional blankets, but you can switch on the air conditioning or the radiator.
The hotel is a little one, not crowded, the staff is extremely friendly, the location is very convenient to reach the most of sightseeings, there is a lot of little restaurants around , it is clean although renovation works are going.

The hotel was in a very nice location at the oldcity. The room that we had was very clean and confortable for 5 persons. The breakfast aslo was full and the staf very friendly. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.
The place is nice n clean, big bathroom n easy access to tramp station . Once again a big thank to Mr Duugur for upgrading us to a bigger family room n also arranging a private taxi back to airport for just 72lira for fmly of 6.

very helpful and polite staff, low price. Excellent location, everything is on walking distance (Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar...). If you are staying for few days and you are on budget, this is the place for you. Actually, we were very loud and nobody said anything about that. From hotel to Taksim square taxi costs cca 15 lira.
uncomfortable beds, room was too small for 5 persons (penthouse). We were transfered to Grand Seigneur Hotel Old City when came there, because Preferred Hotel Oldcity was being redecorated, so this review is about Grand Seigneur Hotel Old City.
With respect to the negative (see below), people tried to do their utmost best to arrange things. The transfer to the airpost e.g. was for free.
The first night we had to stay in another hotel, because Preferred hotel was overbooked. The second day they offered us a room, which was not according to our booking. It took us a long discussion to get a better room. Afer this second night we finally got a room according to our booking. So we had to change rooms for two times. The hotel seems to be under construction: the electricity in the bathroom for example was very dangerous.

An old,dirty,sprawling hotel
Nothing is as it is on booking information and site. You do not get room that you have reserved. They give you room that is available - smaller, not tidy
"Forget" on our reservation, instead reserved five bed family room, we have got three beds room with additional one bed in awful shape. Room is outside of hotel building, with entrance directly from the street. Everything has to be renovate, and fix. Entrance and toilet door can not be locked. There is no internet in "room". We will not go there ever. Highly recommend not go there. Staff not interested to feel sorry for mistake reservation
