This place is perfect if you don't like these 5 stars crowded resorts.
High standard of accomodation (we even had our own jacuzzi at the terrace), super clean, good breakfasts, free wifi, walking distance to the beach/shop/restaurants and last but not least, the best host - very nice and helpful!

What a lovely boutique hotel. Over and above that the rates are really affordable, the hotel itself, breakfasts given, size of room and location to beach were all wonderfull. The location ( we stayed at the mountain villa ). The view was breathtaking from our villa called the ''topmost''. Lots of stairs to climb in order to reach it but the view makes it all worth while. Plus the staff helps you with the luggage.
Very nice staff. Very easy to interract the owner by email ( in order to clarify any questions). Clean rooms, quiet surroundings. Very nice infinity pool with an amazing view. ( just like in the pics on letsbookhotel.com)

I liked the ambience and the architecture of Buddy. The staff were always helpful and friendly.
the complex has a good variety of shops and restaurants although I mostly chose to eat at the nearby New Hut for budget reasons and preferred to try "authentic Thai" food with fellow travelers.
The pools were beautiful although on my second last day whilst lounging at the big pool a snake fell out of a over hanging palm and landed on my chest, however I don't blame the resort for that.

Very good location (close to the beach and the main lamai attractions). Very friendly, cheerful and helpful staff that booked a lot of trips for us. The hotel is also very clean, cozy and calm with fast wi-fi, free unlimited coffee/tea supply. We would definitely choose amarina residence again if we were in Lamai! -
