Wonderful location in beautiful Wengen. We enjoyed the balcony facing the mountains and valley.
The staff, led by Phillippe, were wonderful. The meals were gourmet in the evening with an extensive wine list.
Just a light walk to the rail station up to Jungfraujoch or down to Lauterbrunnen. A few meters from the gondola to Mannlichen.

Firstly is situated in the delightful town of Wengen - in the heart of the Jungfrau. The town has spectacular views of the mountains, which was quite breathtaking as I made the short walk from the train station to the hotel.

Daniel, the hotel manager was simply the most hospitable person ever! My
wife and I unfortunately did not pack any winter clothes and we
happenned to arrive during their first snow in over 30 years. Daniel let
us borrow some of us winter clothes for our stay which saved us and
allowed us to enjoy all that this beautiful area had to offer. He spent
some time when we first arrived, giving us a tour of the property and
explaining how all of the trains/aerial cable cars worked. It really

Great hotel in an excellent location with great views. The walk to the hotel is a little long, so if your not up to the walk they also have a hotel valet or a taxi to take you to the hotel. The room was very comfortable, nice size bathroom with good tub/shower, and wash clothes which most European hotels do not have. The lounge in the hotel lobby had nice, comfortable furnishings, and was a great place to unwind with a drink before or after dinner. The breakfast included with the room price

Faultless. Attentive staff and perfect service. The attention to detail and level of service never faltered when they were busy and when things got quiet mid week.
We stayed in a peaceful room with a view to the rear wooded hillside and it was great. Clean and well serviced by discreet and polite staff. The breakfast and 5 course evening meal were just fantastic; plenty of everything and top quality produce and tastes.
