  The Barken Viking is very interesting being a converted old ship, it is right on the riverside and extremely close to central station which makes it quick and easy to get to if travelling in on bus from Landvetter Airport. It is also very quiet which is great for being so close to the city center. The breakfast was great. It was a large and nice old ship turned hotel. Breakfast was included and plentiful. Internet is free and you can hook up any amount of devices, just change the email you register with for each one of them. Location is pretty good, next to the opera house and the ship museum, and at least a good 20 minutes walk from some of the nice streets in the center.

  The hotel was hospitable. I made a terrible mistake and had booked dates for march and turned up in february. The staff instantly rectified my mistake and changed the dates else I would have lost my booking and money. The breakfast was very nice and filling. They even had a waffle maker which as nice. If I went back - I would stay in the same hotel - ever so friendly and helpful staff at the reception makes you feel at home immediately - small but very clean rooms with everything you need, first class bedding, excellent free wifi and last but not least a tremendous breakfast in an extraordinary scenery - a well deserved 10 out of 10 and imho should deserve at the very least a 4 star quoting

  Swimmingpool - Stayed her for two nights to do sightseeing and pick up a new Volvo. Reception was very helpful and friendly. Three elevators so not much waiting. Breakfast Buffet was extremely generous and good. Our room was very small and needs to be painted, etc (in need of a remodel). The mall has a lot of good restaura - Even if the street leading up to the hotel is a little shabby and the lobby area is not great the room I had was fine and spacious and the breakfast was good.

  Veldig sentralt. Flott at vi fikk oppgradert rom. Fikk rom i den nye delen, og det var veldig delikat. Så vi ble veldig fornøyd med rommet og hotellet. Deilig at vi kunne betale ekstra og ha rommet til kl 18 på utsjekkingsdagen. - fint iforhold til beliggenhet.

Small amenities like the coffee machine - after staying in several places without anything like this, which used to be fairly standard, it was a nice touch. Very comfortable, quiet. Breakfast was served in the cafe downstairs. Some noise from the street early in the morning, but tolerable, considering the extremely central location. Friendly staff. Free wifi (the extra charge in some other hotels charge is utterly annoying. Not so in this hotel), and the internet actually worked.
