We stayed at Nooit Gedacht for 3 nights during the low season and got 5 star treatment. The place was kept at the highest standards, despite us being the only guests at the time. Pools, gardens (with lots of widlife), food and of course the ayurveda treatments, it was all perfect. The location is also great - just a few minutes walk from Unawatuna beach, but enough to have some peace - and there is a pleasant walk over the hill to a little village and a quiet little bay called Jungle Beach. A great hotel with a swimming pool in a very green and beautiful location.
Smashing staff, all very friendly.
Exceptional manager - very chatty and approachable.
We were even offered a free room upgrade many times. We refused as we were very happy with a room on the ground floor directly facing the pool. Excellent massage!

Breakfast was great and when we ate in the hotel the food was delicious and enough to feed an army!!
The setting was idyllic, quiet but close to the beach, a small pool ideal for cooling off. Plentiful wildlife around the hotel including iguanas and monkeys
All in all thoroughly recommended.

We visited the hotel between the 16th-19th December 2013. The staff were very friendly and always willing to help. We had Sri Lankan Breakfast every morning which was excellent. Some of us had English breakfast and that was really good too. Rest of the food like snacks and dinner was excellent.The rooms were very comfortable. The pool was nice and had a mini man made beach. Child friendly. Cannot fault this hotel.
