EVERYTHING!!!!! The location was perfect. We had the most beautiful walk across the bridge into old town everyday. The staff did EVERYTHING possible to make sure we were happy and comfortable. The rooms were nice and big and cozy. Coffee from the machine in the lounge was great and convenient. The value was outstanding. We will stay here when in San Sebastian:)))))

The room was clean and comfortable. We had a balcony, which was great. The accommodation was in an excellent location, very close to the beach, and walking distance to all of the sights of San Sebastian. The staff were extremely helpful. I was feeling unwell the day after we arrived, and the lady at the Pension directed us to a very good medical centre. The staff also agreed to allow us to pick up our bags late in the evening (after we had checked out), due to us having to catch a late overnigh

The landlady, Isabella, was extremely nice and helpful. She made us feel like we were at home and was very welcoming. We couldn't have asked for a more lovely hostess to make us feel welcome.
The hostel is only a few hundred metres from the beach.
The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated.
We had breakfast included which was also good - if you are lucky Isabella may have some delicious homemade bread!

Nice, bright and clean room on the 5th floor, loved the little balcony facing the street. Quiet area, but still close to everything.
Joakina herself was very nice and welcoming, and so was her son. Some people have complained about her being around all time, but we only saw her on arrival and the day we left. We could come and go as we pleased. -

I would highly recommend Luarri. The location is very quiet and scenic and a nice escape from the bustle of the city, and the buses into town are quick (maybe 10 mins to Ondaretta Beach and 25 to Gizupkoa Square) and regular and go from outside the front door (a taxi is around €10 from the main taxi rank at the edge of the old town). Luarri is a little gem located in a peaceful setting on the mountainside but only a couple of minutes by car away from Ondarretta beach. Conveniently, the local bus stops outside the hotel every half hour or so and drops off at the funicular railway and then on to the centre of San Sebastián.
This is a charming, Basque-style, family-run hotel with modern, stylish bedrooms ( only 7, I think).
Belen provided us with directions to the hotel and we found it easily. Free parking was a bonus.

This was the most comfortable and best appointed room we stayed in
during two weeks of a motoring holiday in France and Spain. When I
compilmented the owner, who could not have been more helpful, on the
quality of the hotel, which I had taken to be a recent build, he told
me that it was a 19th century structure which he and his wife had
