Sol Hostel is just 10 minutes’ walk from Atocha AVE Train and Metro Station in the centre of Madrid. It offers free Wi-Fi, free breakfast and 24-hour reception, 15 minutes’ walk from the Reina Sofia Museum. Sol’s simple, heated rooms feature bunk beds, a fan and lockers. Some bathrooms are shared and linen is provided for free, with towels available to rent. There is a kitchen for guest use, a TV lounge and a football table, and a book exchange. Vending machines for drinks and snacks are located in the lobby. The hostel is ideally located for visiting Madrid’s various sites by foot. The Prado and Thyssen Bornemisza Museums are 20 minutes’ walk away, while the Retiro Park is 1 km away. Kapital disco is a 15-minute walk from Sol Hostel, while the Caracol concert venue is on the same street. Embajadores Metro Station is 500 metres away, connecting with Barajas Airport in 40 minutes.

The best hostel in Madrid, everything is a few minutes walking distance, Museums, Atocha station, Party zone, Lavapies, Kapital disco, Sol, Retiro Park, free breakfast, bar open all nigt in the basement with ceap prices, kitchen open 24 hours, everything was great. I felt myself free in the hostel, people helped me in finding places, were in the holtel all the time. Sol Hostel are close to Atocha and other places. It's nice place to stay if you are in Madrid for travel, for sightseen, not to spend much time in a hostel.

Location and size of rooms were good.bed sheets and rooms were clean.staff were friendly. Elevator and price,city map, breakfast include and free cancelation. Only good thing is it was so cheap and you meet many people from different countries. I would only really recommend from people on a very tight budget. Cheap for a short overnight night stay whilst passing through madrid, 24 hour reception great. people living here are nice. not far from the train station. the price is cheap,the location is convenient. Cheap price, close to train station. There were not common activity, information about interesting places to visit, to see. loud neighbours. No soap for bathe. Common room and kitchen are same spaces and in basement.there is no open space for sitting or smokers. Common space and kitchen is locked during night and during hot nights guests can not use refrigerator, kitchen has not sink for washing dishes and dishes are washed in wc that was disgusting for me.some of commodes had not locker.breakfast was not good enough. Rooms has not fan and I could not sleep because it was really hot. It was not clean. The bathroom was disgusting and there was a bad smell and other people's hair on the floor. From me it doesn't matter how cheap a place is the bathroom should be clean !!. Very small sign, easy to miss. the breakfast is not that good....but it's okay.. is too noisy ,nearby there is a bar,i can not sleep... Beds very small and uncomfortable. Staff didn't speak any english, woman at front desk wanted to charge me 1 Euro to call a cab, then came back from dinner and she wanted me to pay 2 Euros to confirm a shuttle reservation via the phone. Both were local calls and would have been less than a minute. not a good location (too far from the centre, too far from the metro, nothing interesting in the near), poor furniture.
