While Benemar isn't fancy, it is comfortable enough, considering how
relatively inexpensive it is.
I know I'm probably one of maybe six or seven people in the world that doesn't have carry their own computer around wherever they go, but since I don't have a laptop or Ipad or Smartphone, it was VERY helpful that my room came with a computer and internet, so I could catch up with things and send messages to let people know I was OK.
The man at reception is extremely friendly, and if you speak ev. alle vurderinger »
The price was great and the room was comfortable and clean. It was more
spacious than many of the other hotels we stayed in this trip. The
location was fairly close to the center of town and the Prado. The man
who runs the place has been there for many years and he was friendly and
helpful, although he doesn't speak much English. He recommended good
nearby restaurants for breakfast, and he was available any time we
needed him since he lives upstairs. Even though our room was on the
street, it w.
Highly recommended! The hostal is seated in a very good location, just
near the metro station Tribunal. We were warmly welcome by the owner
Martin. The rooms are in the 1st and 2nd floor, not much problem caused
though there is no elevator. The heater is pretty strong. Rooms are
clean and well equipped. We have checked-in there twice during our 12-day-
trip in Spain and had the best sleep in this hostal. We will definitely
return if we ever visit Madrid again.
Very central near student campus so lively with small shops, bars, restaurants. Basic accommodation in quiet, narrow street but sparkling clean. Le patron, Juan, is brilliant - tells you where to eat, what not to see, provided needle and cotton, very cool. Turned off heating as too warm in March. Great value and walked everywhere.
Charming receptionist, was so helpful and welcoming! Comfy bed, good shower, very clean. The room even had a PC for those guests who don't have their own laptops or smartphones (which nowadays happens so rarely), that was very sweet :) Very central location.
The owner was very very nice to me, I was sick and needed to stay in my room, he went out and got me an electric tea kettle. So nice. He also helped me to get to a doctor and explained everything well. Nice to be in a regular neighborhood.
My son and I stayed at the Hostal Benamar for two days. The hotel is located almost in the center and at the same time you do not hear any noise.
Room clean, comfortable, modern. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. Recommend to all!.
Jose Benamar, the owner was very helpful. While the hotel has no elevator, he helped carry my bags as needed and assisted me when I needed to get a taxi at the end of my stay. I would stay there again. Very good value for money.
Good value for money.
We had a very comfortable and large room facing the inner courtyard.
The staff were helpful, friendly and are more than happy to help run your bags up the stairs.
Would certainly recommend this place.
The manager is wonderful, educated and always eager to help his clients. A true plus for this quaint, quiet small hotel in a charming area of central Madrid. This is the fifth time that we lodge at The Benamar.
Great, helpful staff, very reasonable rates, lovely rooms and bathrooms but most of all sensational location to sample all the sights and local flavours of Madrid. We would highly recommend a stay here.
This hostel is nice and cheap. You can use wifi, TV & small fridge and air conditioner. And the owners are very friendly. After we arrived there, they even let us choose which room we preferred to.
Great quality for its price and location. Free wifi. Most hotels in Madrid advertise free wifi but once you get there you see that it is limited and has low speed (pay for more/better).
Excellent location - very friendly and helpful staff - clean and comfortable room with all that was needed. And all this for a very fair rate. Couldn't ask for more - thank you!.
Great Room, nice staffs (although some speak Spanish the time and understand no english).
Pretty close to the metro run to heart of Madrid. So nice, worth for money!.
the price for a room (50euro/night) is correct.
Location +++
Staff was very friendly. Ask for a room at the back of the hostel (complete silence).
very friendly and helpful.I left a pair of shoes there and went back a week later and shoes were there waiting for me all wrapped up.
The staff -very nice-, the room, the atmosphere, the location,... every thing was really great. Fully recommended!!!.
the owner is very friendly, and speaks english wich is very rare that you find spanish hotel owners speak english...
The staff were very helpful, excellent location rooms were 3* hotel standard excellent choice for stay in Madrid.
The best place in Madrid for your budget and comfort. Not far from all places, many restaurants and shops.
Impressive quality for its price, great location, friendly atmosphere. I recommend it without hesitation!.
Friendly helpful staff, very warm welcome; spartan but super value; spotlessly clean.
Very close to the City and Shopping Street. Friendly personal and a good room.
Great location, friendly, family-run small hotel. Very clean and comfortable.
Owner was very warm, friendly and helpful. Hotel was very clean and quiet.
The host was very friendly. The locations was fantastic. It was all good.
The staff was super friendly towards me and made me feel safe.
very convenient location, super friendly staff, good price.
Excellent location, very clean, superb value for money.
Frindly staff, swift response to forgotten AC remote.
helpful staff, very good location.
clean,
air conditioning,.
environment, equipment.
location, cleanness.
Mister José.
Everything.
Only 15 min from Del Sol and so low price! Very good Wi-Fi quality. Very
cheap price for the location.
The price and the location.
The nearest metro was under repair, and it was several blocks to
the next one.
The only complaint is that the wifi on the 1st floor is not as stable as
that in the 2nd floor.
No views, walk up, thin walls, no kettle to brew up.
Paper thin walls- fortunately none of our neighbours were noisy.
Parking is not provided, contrary to the advertised facility, but there is a handy garage a few blocks away that charges €25/first night then €20/night thereafter- competitive rates given that it's Madrid!.
The fact that we eventially have to depart. Oh well, there's always Paris.
No lift (they had told us!) but it was pretty tough to lug our luggage up two flights of stairs. The staff were super helpful though. Despite this, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Just the cover is not as white and clean as more expensive hotel. But this is acceptable. Based on its price, you could not judge it too much. Anyway, it is worth the money.
Noise. Thin walls.
I couldn't think of anything I didn't like.
Hostel is located on the 3rd floor of the building but there is NO LIFT.
nothing.
It does not have a lift.
you just have to be prepared to carry your luggage 3-4 floors ... the owner offers help to carry them as well for you.
Nothing.
No lift.
Shower could be better.
I had a room next to the street, so it was a bit loud. The personal does not speak english.
At times noises from the street drift up, and people ring the doorbell at all hours of the day and night, so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.
not an issue for me, but it's on the second floor and there's no lift.
None, it's brilliant.
nothing.
thin walls, you can hear the neighbors.
- the noise because our window was turned to the street
- no breakfast.
If you want to stay there you have to have: pillows (only 1 pillow for
twin-bed), teapot, glasses, spoons etc. Very thin walls, sometimes you
can hear your neighbors breathing. The rooms for 1 night standing.
Poor reception and staff. Phone didn't work in room, it was
impossible to contact with receptionist.
