My room didn't include privait bathroom but common bathrooms were free and comfy always.

  The proprietor/manager, Eddie Stella, was extremely helpful and accomodating. He stayed up till 2am to check us in when we were driving up from Sevilla. The location of the apartments is absolutely the best in Madrid. It has onsite parking with direct elevator access to the apartments/rooms - a rarity with many apartments in Europe. It had a GREAT... hva folk sier » Coffee Bar right below, that served absolutely the best hot chocolate and espresso at an amazing price. - Location is amazing right near a main train station. Staff very helpful, would stay there again.

  First of all, the location of the hostel is great, being located in the heart of Madrid, a few minutes away from Gran Via and all the cultural places. Also it is really easy to arrive from the airport. Second of all, the ratio quality-price was great taking into the consideration that my room was quite modern and I enjoyed the shower with hidromas... hva folk sier » sage. The room was very clean and quiet. Next, the staff was young, professional, very friendly and with good communication skills (they spoke English - The location of Hostal Gala is excellent, a 5 minute walk from Gran Via and Puerto Del Sol. The staff are super welcoming and friendly, always ready to help and advise on where to go and what to do. The hostal is also kept very clean and the cleaning staff are very friendly and helpful as well. Although the rooms do not have safe deposit boxes, security and leaving passports/money behind was never a cause for concern. This is a place I would recommend and stay at again!

  Stay here! This hostel is nicer than many hotels.I had a private double room with ensuite and it was huge! The room had dark blinds to block noise, air conditioning and an enormous, comfortable bed. I had the best night sleep in my whole European travels at UHostel. The hostel has a fantastic kitchen and dining area, - After 2 months of travelling I found just 2 hostels is will be back - Uhostel Madrid is one of them!   Rudy made my experience in Madrid so great. He's so helpful and goes above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to making the guests happy. The hostel has a huge common room so it's very easy for people to meet each other. The other staff members are equally as nice. It was very easy to go up and talk to them at the desk even if I had a quest... hva folk sier » ion as simple as, "What would you recommend?" The hostel is also close to the city center so I didn't need to buy transport passes. I will definitely - Could not fault this hostel, staff where really helpful and friendly and hostel was perfectly clean and you got a good free breakfast. It also is in an excellent loaction right near the cool Malansa area with all vintage shops and cool bars and you could walk to any major attraction in 2Omins. As a solo female traveller I felt totally at home, would stay here again if I was in madrid and would recomend to anyone!
