We were happily surprised. It is a low profile hotel. No grand entrance, but home like. The room was spacious, clean, newly styled, comfortable with a wonderful balcony view of the city. The hotel is about a block away from a beautiful archway and walkway, not covered on the bus tours. The neigherhood is safe and there is life going on up until 2:00 a.m., but it does not disturb the guests. We loved it. This hotel can accomodate those with who walk with a cane/walker. I stayed in a private room with shared bathrooms at C40.
The room was relatively large but simple. I stayed on the second floor where there was a kitchen however cutlery and cups were scarce. The common area and terrace on this floor were great ideas however I never saw anyone using them.

The building dates from the 19th century and there are many beautiful features in the room. The room itself is large and has a small balcony looking out on to the street below. The staff were helpful and friendly as well

On arrival the staff were welcoming and friendly and very helpful . The apartment was bright , clean , spacious and was very well equipped . It was very well located for all conveniences of Barcelona . We arrived at 11.30 am and we're allowed to check in at that time which was brilliant . We needed to print off boarding passes and the girl on reception was most helpful and did it without any trouble . I would stay at Whotells again
