It doesn't look like much at first, but the venue has actually been a pleasant surprise. Staff seemed a little uncertain, but the room exceeded expectations. The place is clean, well-equipped, there are even baggage lockers available, and it's really just a few steps to the airport train and metro at Passeig de Gracia. I definitely recommend to those on a budget.
Location of the hotel was perfect, I was able to get to every place I wanted to see by foot (La Sagrada Familia, Parc Guell, Plaza de Toros, Cathedral, beach, ...). Hotel room was very nice equiped and clean. Stuff speaks very well english and is prepared do give you advice anytime.alle vurderinger »
Great location near La Rambla and many metro stations. Good array of shops nearby, including good restaurants and bars. The university nearby meant the local area was filled with a younger audience which was good for a couple like us still at uni.
Despite the low price, the room had everything we needed and was
sufficiently comfortable. We got to shower every morning, had privacy,
and everything was clean. Really close to the city centre and metro.
it was a bit renovating since 2011, internet access is improved and now you have no problems with free wi-fi in a room. Staff speaks russian, if it's important for somebody.
in the center of the town,24 hours super market opposite the hotel, bathroom with round bath and always hot water, bus-tourist station near the hotel.
Great location, friendly staff, very clean and comfortable. We had a great stay in Hostal Eden and will recommend it to our friends for sure!.
Location was great and fantastic value for money, didn't expect the fridge, t.v, or hairdryer, so an unexpected bonus. Very central.
Everything was very good, location is perfect for sightseeing, the room and bathroom were clean and the staff very pleasant.
Nice place, very good location. Ideal place to stay for a short time. The room didn't look like, but was clean and OK.
The location of the hotel is excellent, the staff are helpful and the rooms although basic have everything necessary.
- Amazing friendly&helpful sfaff
- great location ( 5 min to City centre)
- clean rooms with basic stuff.
-Very kind staff -24h reception -location-near Renfe and bus stop to
airport -clean room -fridge in the room.
Good price responsive staff excellent location Small but clean rooms,
where there is everything you need.
Staff at reception speaks russian. Location is good. Quality for its Price is very good.
The staff is very kind and the location is easy to access to every places.
location, beautiful building; price; free wi-fi.
the bathroom have a big bath and the price.
excellent fot city center.
price, location, clean.
I stayed at the Eden for 1 night in December 2013.The hotel,by its appearance, was an old property which has been extensively renovated.Access to it was gained by pressing a button on the front door.A creaky old lift whined and clanked its way to all floors.
The reception was on the first floor. My room,on the second, was large and comfortable and came with a rather cramped en-suite.
It was clean.
The Eden is situated about 600 metres from the Plaza de Catalunya. There is a few bars in the immediat.
Location is in the city centre, close to Placa Catalunya and La Rambla street (10 min walking).
Close to metro and Barcelona bus touristic stop. Several public busses stop just in front of the hostel.
There is a kettle in the room and a microwave oven near reception.
Supermarket is in front of the hostel.
Towels were changed everyday.
WiFi was in rooms and quite good.
Rather spacious bathroom.
Price was very good, free wifi, Location near Catalunya. Supermarket nearby. They have safe lockers if you want to leave baggage when you checkout.
Great location for exploring the city. As far as prices go in Barcelona, this is a great deal if you can deal with the noise and lack of AC.
There is a fridge in the room. A Staff is ok, a boy helped us to print
out the train schedule.
very good price - i recommend only for people with not a lot of money.
Good location for seeing sites. Room was clean and very good price.
Big room
Clean towels
Bed made up each day
Perfect location.
Location, clean and price (in March 2013).
Wifi works
Good location.
The location.
Place.
We liked the fact that we had access to the outside via a small balcony
- this was great especially as our room was so tiny. The
art/graffiti/mural on the wall gave a unique feel to our room.
Can we just add that although the staff were quite friendly, their local
knowledge was not good & we do feel that reception staff should try
to do whatever they can to help & advise their guests in the best
way possible. This is not a negative or a positive - just an
observation.
I had two different rooms. First room which has been given me was awful. I've requested to change it. Luckily, it's accepted, I had to stay one night though. Second room was clean, with windoow, wasn't smelly. It was fair enough to stay. Staff was helpfull, especially blonde girl.
Good site ...... near to metro station "passiege de gracia"
& plaza Catalunya & famous Rambla street.
The staff in Hostal Eden simply told us to go to a different hostal, with no explanations.
Position was good, close to buses.
Only the location.
Location is ok.
I didn't like anything at this location.
The price.
The place does have a certain undeserved gloomy air about it. The real issue, however, has been the elevator, which never ever seems to work.
I stayed in this hostel in March and the central heating was not working anymore. I was cold because outside temperature was only about 6 degrees at night.
The place was a little noisy, but not so much that you couldn't sleep or anything of that sort.
One morning there was no hot water at all. I understand there was a
problem of some kind. They quickly fixed it.
early check out.
very noisy! Leaky windows!.
The room I stayed in being right next to reception was a bit noisy.
- Some rooms smell bad (canalisation water).
-If you have room near reception you can still hear the sound of
doorphone (also at the night) -view from window-ventilation shaft (not
enough daylight in the room).
Although 24h reception is convenient, you must hear the doorbell in 24 hours when you stay near the reception.
poor interior.
none.
some noises early in the morning.
There are two things which I did not like about the Eden. The first was that I had to press a button to gain entry and the second was that it is on anextremely busy street. As the
soundproofing leaves a great deal to be desired, the NOISE LEVEL, (and I write these words in capital letters,to emphasise their meaning) is
VERY HIGH.Bring some ear-plugs,if you want to sleep!!!.
Our room faced the street-very noisy in the room even at night and especially in the morning as balcony window is very thin (hostel owners should think about good windows to be installed).
Floor in room and in the bathroom wasn't well cleaned.
Most receptionists know English except for one guy who didn't know a word.
No toiletries (only liquid soap).
Very very noisy : they began to clean on early morning. You can also listen people speaking in corridors. It is not that close to Ramblas.
Street side rooms can very very noisy at night and no AC can make this an uncomfortable stay in the summer time.
There is no curtain in the bathroom. Seems the floor is not so clean,
could find a piece of paper which last guest left... The room is smelly,
we have to open the door to let in some fresh air.
Some residents were noisy.
Noisy
Really poor beds
No safe in our room.
Very simple room
Very different from the pictures.
.The uncomfy beds and noise from outside.
You can hear everything what your neighbours do - very noisy.
Very squeaky uncomfortable bed :-( it squeaked even if we thought about
moving! Our bathroom was actually bigger than our bedroom, which was
quite strange. Very busy noisy street (traffic) even with the balcony
doors closed & the building next door was being renovated so there
was a lot of drilling going on - but this is city life so we didn't
let it bother us too much.
First room was niff, no window, dusty wall. Dust was like grey cotton piece on the wall! No air condition. Dirty bed sheeds, dirty bathroom. Noisy, I could hear everything from both side neighbours. It was utterly miserable.
Bad treatment from receptionist ..... dull place ..... very bad smell
in path which out the room from shared toilet ...... fair for
backpackers only.
When we arrived, they told us to go to a different hostal 200 meters away. The rooms in the other hostal were good, but they were of lower quality, and they didn't look like the rooms in the announcement of hostal Eden. We felt a bit cheated. Also, the drink machine made a lot of noise during the night. Also, the new hostal was further away from Catalonia square.
Tiniest room, noisy early in the morning from something electrical. Window opened onto central well. Felt like a cupboard.
Uncomfortable squeeky bed, noisy surroundings, shabby place, balcony door without lock although adjoining next room, no facilities whatsoever.
From Hostal Eden I was told to go to another hostal from which they took me into a third one.
Everything was really dirty and disgusting. Toilet paper was not provided. My room had a window into a kitchen and it could not be completely closed. I was afraid that someone might get in during the night.
The place is not for tourists but for illegal workers.
The hostel was extremely noisy. Not good for elderly visitors.
I didn't like the fact that my bed was next to the toilet.
Literately next to the toilet. At nights, the receptionist will smoke
and all the smoke came up to my window and he is not a light smoker
either. To use the elevator you need a special key that you have to
borrow from the reception... Which you have to return once you are
downstairs. The reception is on the second floor. Hahaha.
The confort, the room, the noise, the smell (pipes problem).
Horrible night!!.
