This guesthouse is everything you would want it to be, and more. From the warm welcome on arrival, the quality of the rooms and furnishings, to those important touches such as fresh milk in the fridge and high quality cosmetics in the bathroom. With superb views over the bay, who could fail to enjoy a delicious, freshly cooked, breakfast on the balcony. Marina had plenty of helpful suggestions for where to eat and what to do in the area. On her advice we walked to the waterfront for dinner (abo.

You can enjoy the nice view on the beautiful lagoon from your balcony. Especially the lady owning the Villa really takes care of you to give you the feeling of being a welcomed guest and provides you with all the information needed. Enjoyable and private atmosphere. South Villa was certainly the nicest place we stayed in during our 3 week South Africa trip, we recomme. I would definitely recommend South Villa to anyone wanting to stay in Knysna. The room was large, clean and had all amenities one could ask for. The breakfast was extensive and delicious. There was a constant supply of tea, coffee, rusks, bottled waters and fresh fruit in the room. The views and the location of the guest house were stunning - very close to Knysna waterfront but it is on the mountain, somewhat tucked away. The owners were friendly, accommodating and helpful. After an 11hour 30 min international plane flight, 6 hour wait for an onward flight which was then delayed for 2 hours then 3 hour drive Chris promptly carried our bags to upstairs room and by the time we got to the room there was the best pot of tea we have had there for us on the balcony. Although it was mentioned as Villa it was more like a bed and breakfast. Hence little overpriced.
