Very nice resort with nice relaxed atmosphere
I LOVED being there! The staff is really friendly and though there are some limitations, the whole holiday was perfect! We made a scuba diving course as well. The transportation to the resort (from airport) was arranged well. The rooms were nice and relatively clean. The location is perfect - there is a small rock-fall (water-fall) in the vicinity and the beach is perfect for snorkelling and diving. Our diving course was great and very great value for money.
Some of the food could have been better in the resort (however lobster was great). Breakfast is included, but not the hight of sophistication. We missed the fridge from our room very much. The area around the resort is a little bit depressing - many (visibly) poor people living there. There are some details, could be done better with the design.
The facilities of the resort were very complete including a small shop, spa and restaurant. Also the beach is perfect for great snorkeling, masks can be rented for only 15 RM a day.
There was no room service (no clean towels, no vacuum cleaning)

The best thing here was the diving! Restaurant was OK, but could use an uplift.
The place is fantastic for honeymooners. The food is good. We went during off-season so it was less crowded. We stayed at the Supreme Beach Front and it literally is on the beach. The staff was extremely helpful and polite. The spa is ok. The island itself offsets any misgivings. it is one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. The boat ride from Tekek to Paya itself was adventurous.
It's probably the first time when letsbookhotel.com hotel rating doesn't correspond with our personal impression of the hotel and our stay there. letsbookhotel.com guests give it 6.4, I'd give it 8.5. Had a great, spacious, clean villa right at the beach literally 30 meters away from the sea, so we were falling asleep with the sound of waves hitting the shore every night. The hotel staff was super nice and friendly and helpful. I also really enjoyed the food. Every night they brought fresh-fresh sea food and cooked the one we selected on grill. We went on a hotel organized snorkeling trip, and it was great. Tons of unbelievably beautiful fish, really worth seeing. We really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay there again.
The only thing is you gotta be aware of tides (especially if going in Feb). The water is often gone in the morning, the beach is all sand and stones, and there is no way to swim, only walk along the sea side.
1. Lesser crowd. It was peaceful and relax during my stay last week. 2. The resort's food was unexpectedly good! 3. Cooling and windy weather. Love the waves!
1. Littering and the upkeep of the resort's compound are a bit of let down 2. There is no phone and umbrella in the chalet 3. The swimming pool is definitely too small

千万不要住标准房，实在太简陋啦。。。。地板上都是裂缝，卫生间也是半露天的。后两天搬到了高级房，感觉不- 错，就是蚊子略多。
Perfect if all you want to do is relax on the beach or go snorkelling. We managed to book one snorkelling tour with Paya, our guide Quinton was brilliant and i would recommend anyone to do this tour. Quinton goes snorkelling with you, points out different fish, dives down and comes back with sea cucumbers, starfish...points out the blacktop sharks!! You feel very safe and it's very informative.
We stayed in a superior room however there was nothing superior about it. Very basic room in need of refurbishment. Leak in bathroom, shower broken. A lot of the trips around the island require 6 or more people. We stayed in October so it was pretty quiet. We managed to go on one trip which was great but missed out on seeing other parts of the island because it was so quiet and water taxis were too expensive (eg RM300 to go to the waterfall!)
Beaches and views are good all over Tioman Island.
This hotel was overpriced. You can only get to Paya by boat taxi. These will cost you an additional 35 MYR p.p. one way.

Swimming pool small & not so clean. Barbecue food pricey & not so fantastic Wi-fi in common area does not work throughout my stay there.
Rooms were close to restaurant.
The wifi was very poor. The staff seemed like they really did not enjoy talking/dealing with guests.

good facilities, great location right by the beach
very small chalet - once we put the extra mattress down in the room we could not move around at all. much preferred staying in independent accommodation later (much better value for money), compared to paya beach resort.
1. SPA service was good. 2. Restaurant- food was delicious.
1. Dirty- We changed 2 rooms, both were dirty- dirty bed sheet, mold on bedside lamps, mold on cushion, and sofa. spider webs on bedside lamps.... 2. Overall No HOT WATER for shower- it was the reason we changed room in the 1st night of staying. POOR US, even 2nd room, we only got hot water for shower once. it the rest of days, NO NO NO HOT WATER FOR SHOWER. 3. Breakfast area, flies were everywhere.
The location is excellent. Very good beach and snorkeling.
Poor facility. Poor furniture.some area behind the units are not clean.
I like the place very much. The speedboat man was very friendly & the live guard is helpful.
The thing that I don't like is the service at the frontdesk, The lady was unsure about my check-in & the room that I requested was not available facing by the sea as I have requested in my booking. She's Not being friendly & the customer svc was darm sucks.....!!!

The staff are allergic to smiles, the room is not clean, food are overpriced and tasteless, the beach is not clean and a lot of rocks so it's impossible to swim.The hot water is scalding hot or too cold.The resort is not kid-friendly.Definitely not recommended!

The Chalet we stayed into needed a lot of mainteinance and we slept with rats.
