It reminded me of a traditional Japanese house with tranquility and elegance. It is situated in the center of Kyoto, but it is quiet and also very quiet in the house. The owner couple were very helpful, but online information was not enough. We thought there was no facility for breakfast nor dinner, but in fact the lady owner was an excellent cook. We ordered breakfast just in time and we enjoyed a traditional Kyoto style breakfast. I recommend this hotel to anybody if you don't mind sittin. alle vurderinger »
The elderly manager spoke English very well, provided us with maps and
gave very good advice. The hot bath was wonderful after the long day and
it was big enough for us both to strech. Toilet also on the corridor,
but surprisingly it didn't bother. The place is small enough, that
there were no lines. Sink in the room was a nice surprise. Great bus
connections to all major sights.
Friendly helpful staff, central location.
I didn't see anybody else working in the hotel except the owner couple. Coming into the porch, nobody greeted me and until the lady owner appeared we stood there rather anxiously wondering we were at the right place. The impression was soon faded with kind attitudes of the owners, but I think they should know some clients may think they are not welcome.
With back problems the hard futons were not so nice, but the same as
everywhere.
Too pricey for what it was. Shared bath had too many rules around when and how to use.
Not alot of flexibility for childrens menus.
