What I like most about Keihan is that is directly across from the jr train/subway station. It's a very convenient location. The room is massive itself and the bed was massive! Free WiFi in all rooms and all parts of the hotel as well was a plus! The hotel is also connected to a shopping centre so that's good points for all the boys out there travelling with their girlfriends/wives! The hotel also have a level (at the very top) where there is restaurants. There are also restaurants around the ho.
alle vurderinger » location! directly across kyoto station. and beside a shopping center (avanti) ... helpful staff despite little difficulty in communicating in english. front desk saved us from stressful, multiple transfer train ride from kyoto to osaka when they informed us about the direct bus from kyoto station (boarding area in front of the hotel!) to namba OCAT... complete toiletries ... hotel rates are reasonable considering its location, facilities, service as compared to other hotels located within th. Staff so helpful, polite,cared about your needs. We asked for a supermarket, needed fruit. Map produced and in another huge grey building, we found cooked food, salads, wine etc. Check in/out times better than most. Room huge compared to other hotels. Nara was the best place to visit. Kyoto's shrines are scattered, go by metro not bus. Traffic is slow. The lobby area was extremely inviting and the helpful staff was able to assist us in English. Rooms were very clean and plenty of amenities were available. Air conditioning gets a special mentioning here as well. Good meal options. Location cannot be better being minutes away from Kyoto Station and having a dept store linked to it. King size bed was a little bigger than king size i feel. Lots of food options within walking distance. Localization (in front of train and bus station): its is perfect like your base point to explore kyoto and surroundings (nara, and others) Good relation price/quality Wifi free in all the hotel. The location to the train station is excellent so its great for travelling around the city to visit all the various sights. But everything else was convenient!. breakfast area (for western style) a little small so there is 5-10 min waiting time for guests to get a table... guests have option to get the japanese breakfast instead of western but hotel should consider making it buffet style as well instead of a set meal. Twin room was a little bit too small, also very small bathroom. Although hotel has wifi facilities, but connection was utterly terrible. As good as none. Only lobby was somewhat better but still poor. As internet/wifi is key to my job, so not being able to get a working/stable connection wrote off all the other plus points abt this hotel. Receptionist do not speaks english very well. Nothing. A bit old and dated though equipments in room is well maintained. For the price, it is good. Finding a stranger lying on the bed and smoking in our non smoking room. It is obviously an older hotel and I felt they could have taken more care to keep the shower clean. There was a bit of mold starting to show up on the ceiling from the humidity (a fairly common problem for Japanese bathrooms, but not really okay for a hotel.). Took time to learn how to negotiate king size bed in smal lroom. No washing facilities for guests. Map given for closest coin laundry, next street back and down a couple of blocks. Should indicate the location in a more specific way e.g. Across the street via Hachijo East Exit across the street, next to avanti Buikding rather than encourage travellers go by underpass as signage via underpass was not specific. Had a triple room but it was just a twin and an extra bed was squeezed in. Too cramped. Directions to hotel poor. It should inform us that the check in time is 2:00 pm instead of 3:00 pm as stated by letsbookhotel.com. the facilities are rather old, the room is not spaceous enough. The room had very firm beds. A little bit old but clean. Bathroom a bit small compared to Australian standards. old hotel. - The wireless is terrible. You are lucky if you manage to get connected even though the signal strength is maximum. - No coin laundry. Seems to cater to tour groups, lobby and restaurant were crowded. Hotels interior and furniture are old, closet and bathroom too squeezy small but clean and amenities are fair. wifi was not working in the room and only in the lobby. The rooms are small and the walls paperthin, no breakfast with the rate. Its a standard hotel with standard rooms, fine to put your head down for the night. - expensive hotel. 250$ for 3 people and no breakfast. Small room and bathroom. Nobody, we met, spoke a reasonable english. We arrived by 11AM but the check-in was by 2PM. In a very poor english the attendant has tried to explain us they would keep our luggage and following she has requested us to pay the 2 nights in advance (?!) We asked what we could do while waiting.... they only gave us a map and some fliers. Not well maintained for a hotel in such category. the wifi is hopeless in the room. Hotel is old fashioned, room was small and crowded, the thermostat didn't work and the room was too hot plus it was supposed to be a non smoking room but it reeked of smoke and had an ashtray. the breakfast involved a 20+ minute wait. there was no bar in the hotel and the internet was very slow. I will NEVER stay there again nor will i recommend it. This hotel is old and tired.
