Service, service, service! I thought this hotel was a little pricey for what we got (room-wise), but the service was outstanding.
I can honestly say that the coffee & croissants they served were the BEST I've ever tasted, and that includes in Paris. The breakfast room is quite small, but they really make sure you have everything you want, from juice, coffee, toast, fruit, yogurt, etc. to fresh-baked croissants and pastries. Really felt very welcomed and appreciated as a guest.

Casa Petrarca was a wonderful place to stay in beautiful Venezia! The location is hard to beat in my opinion, less that 5 minutes to Piazza San Marco, 10 minutes to the Rialto bridge. The room was small but very comfortable and clean, though next time we would probably opt for a room with a ensuite bathroom. The breakfast was delicious, fresh fruit, amazing croissants, assorted meats and cheese, yogurt etc., and the dining room is so picturesque, above a canal. The owners were so friendly a.
Staff were so lovely and helpful and obviously love what they do. There is a lovely authentic Venetian feel to the place, definitely like staying in someones home. It is located down a very quiet street but yet so close to the madness of St Marks Square. If you want to be close to everything then it is a great place from which to explore.
Great family run hotel for a budget stay. The staff were excellent and
very attentive. We were given tips on things to do, places to eat and he
best place to take a gondola ride! Not to mention excellent location, 5
minutes from all the main tourist sites, water taxis and convenient to
get to from the airport.
Friendly, helpful staff, who gave us excellent tips on where to dine and provided us with a map when we arrived. The location is fantastic and our room had a great view of a pretty little bridge over a canal. Quiet, traditionally decorated rooms at an excellent value and a good, traditional Italian breakfast.
Superb location - easy to find when following the detailed email instructions given to us by the owners when booking.
Breakfast - simple but filling for the day's sightseeing ahead.
Service - Never too much trouble for the owners to help guests out with directions, recommendations and other issues.
Staff was very helpfull starting from the beginning of our vacation. They showed us where to go, how to go, where to eat and all necessary information. Location is very good, it's 3 minutes to S. Marco and 5 minutes to Rialto Bridge by walk. Rooms were clean and also big enough.
It's a simple hotel with simple room but it's very well located; the staff is very nice and attentive (they got in touch and explained how to get to the hotel, once finding your way in Venice is not so easy to whom is going for the first time!); good breakfast.
The location was fantastic, between San Marco square and Rialto bridge, but still a quiet lane. The proprietor Valentina was very welcoming and gave us good advice about the locality. Breakfast was in a small cute dining area, adequate. Would stay there again.
This is a fabulous little boutique hotel in the center of Venice! The location is perfect (in between Rialto & St. Marks). In addition, Stefano & the staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and very attentive. Great place!.
The hotel is good value for money (for Venice, which is not cheap). Its
location is absolutely first rate and we will not hesitate to recommend
it to our friends.
Location betrween St Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Clean. Helpful instructions about reaching the hotel.
Valentina was really nice!! and gave us really good advices. Ubication was great, was in the mittle of everything. Good for shopping and for relax.
The location, best accessible to everything. If you get tired walking around then easy to get back and relax.
Location was fantastic and the staff were extremely friendly. Exactly what we wanted for Venice.
Excellent location. Near to San Marco. Very helpful staff and reasonably priced accommodation.
Service and hospitality was very welcome. GREAT location. Highly recommend.
location.
air conditioning.
late breakfast.
fairly helpful staff.
Very central, great staff and excellent continental breakfast.
location; staff; breakfast included.
very good staff,good location,clean.
The location is very good, close to the San Marco square.
The staff was friendly and welcoming.
Everything was clean.
- Location is great
- The place is very simple, clean e friendly
- Owners are attentive.
We had a double room, however there was no room to open 2 suitcases and no room or move around. Breakfast was o.k except for the coffee which was disgusting to drink. Obviously cheap Italian Coffee. Also they were insisting to pay in cash.
The room was a bit small and I didn't like the shower much, due to its tiny size. The window in my room opened to face a wall, which wasn't very nice - other than that, it was fine.
A bit tough to find on the first visit, but after that, I thought the location was ideal.
Can't really complain but if there was something, the showers were
not that great. Took a while for the hot water to come and was weak.
Nothing! It was great!.
Nothing specific. If I went back, I wouldn't book a room with a shared bathroom but that is simply down to personal preference. As it stands, however, it is good value for money. Therefore, if you're on a budget and happy enough, I'd have no qualms recommending it.
The scaffolding that builders had left outside our room. We understand
the hotel is trying to get rid of this problem, but it does make at
least one of the rooms very dark.
Nothing to dislike.
None.
Although Venice as a whole is expensive, the price of the hotel in comparison to hotels in other cities means that it is quite expensive for what you get.
nothing.
noise - bring your earplugs to get sleep! If you forget a chemist is just around the corner.
small room; no television, radio or clock; window blocked by construction tarps so room was dark.
140euro is a little expensive for a 10 m2 basic room even its venice.
The price is way too high for what the hotel has to offer.
The room was very very small, there was basically no room at all for our bags, it is not like in the pictures.
The breakfast room was also too small, there was no space for the three of us at the table.
The lady that served us breakfast did not speak a word of English.
- the bedroom is very small. There are other rooms that seem to be larger and is not necessary to share the bathroom.
Shared toilet to far away and had to walk past everybody who was having breakfast. Shared toilet was with 5 other rooms not 1 other room. Very small room and very little breakfast. More for backpackers.
