  The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere in the hotel is very warm. The parking is very comfortable. The room is not fancy but clean, large and beautiful with a great view to the lake. There is an Orta Lake beach near the hotel with free entrance to hotel guests. In evening we stayed in hotel and went to hotel restaurant. The meal ... hva folk sier » was great (reasonable prices). The hotel has also vine cellar where we could choose from the various assortment of vines. The breakfast was tasty. - Hotel position overlooking the lake. Excellent food in restaurant. But our holiday was made by the kind attentions of the manager, Otello. Nothing too much trouble and he was the one ray of sunshine in what was disappointing weather for time of year. Whilst we were there, wifi was installed but only available in reception area at the moment. Big bonus.

  Really helpful owner, Max, who gave us loads of help and advice. The facilities were modern and clean, with lots of food in the fridge upon our arrival - highly recommended!

We stayed in a nice room for up to 4 people and Maurizio showed us also the other two: all of them are very nice, clean and cozy.   I stayed and B&B Torchio for a bike race in Pogno, a small village in the mountains above San Maurizio. Everyday I rode it was raining and I came back muddy and wet. Donatella and Marta were so nice and even washed my clothes while I stayed there. I really felt like a part of the family while I was there.
