I first visited Positano 2 years ago. The location of the Savoia is perfect. The family that runs the hotel, and in particular Claudia, are wonderful and very knowledgeable. One truly gets a feel for the region when staying at the Savoia. The breakfast is plentiful and the variety is excellent. The hotel is close to the center, so it's easy to get to the beach for sunbathing, shopping or taking the ferry. The local bus stops almost directly in front of the hotel. This will be my hotel of choice when next I visit Positano, which is the most beautiful town on the Amalfi Coast!
I have nothing negative to say about my stay at the Savoia. It was superb!
Location was amazing--easy to get to the beach, shops and restaurants. I couldn't imagine staying higher up in positano and having to shuttle down to the beach on those winding roads every day. Clean hotel, staff was so friendly and accommodating--helpful and gave good recommendations. Gorgeous views!
Rooms and bathrooms were a little outdated--older furnishings and decorating. Still very comfortable and just what we needed.

Staff was extremely friendly and very helpful with dinner reservations and area transportation. The location is excellent in that it is within easy walking distance to the beach and the dock, and not too far up the major hill in town. The views out the balconies are incredible. I also like that the hotel provides towels for use at the beach. The continental breakfast buffet that was included in the room rate was very good.
The room decor and furnishings were a little on the parse side.

Great location in Positano with beautiful clean rooms. Rented three rooms for my family. Great patio area for drinks and relaxation. Very good breakfast. Front desk staff very pleasant.
Very long way from the bus stop at the top of the hill. No direct ferry service to Sorrento. Had to stop at Capri first. Took almost 1 1/2 hours to make trip to Sorrento by ferry.
The hotel was nicely located and easy to get to by cab. You were able to get dropped off right in front of the hotel by car. If you come by boat, you would need to take the steep walk up to the hotel, though porters are readily available to take your luggage. The staff was very helpful and even called our next hotel for us to ask a few questions. The room was clean and nicely decorated and we had a partial view of the water. Keep in mind the beaches are rocky and have black rocks and sand so you'll need shoes that you can wear in and out of the water.

My stay at Positano was just perfect. The hotel has a very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast was great with many options of croissants and an excellent cappuccino. The staff was always efficient and friendly. The corridors smell delicately good and the towels were specially clean and perfumed. My next vacation in Positano will be at Hotel Savoia again :)

The hotel was very central to restaurants, shops and the beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We contacted them prior to our stay for help booking a car to meet us at Naples Airport. The breakfast included in the price was excellent. Best coffee in Italy. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back again.

Parking.. Must know correctly the location of the parking appointed by the hotel before you arrived, otherwise you have to drive long round the area, bcuz it's only one way traffic

The staff at the hotel were so friendly and accommodating they made us feel like family. Rooms were clean and spacious and we had a great view of the sea and houses in Positano. We also enjoyed the breakfast on the balcony every morning! We'll be back!
The hotel was very well located. Beautiful italian tiles with bright colours. The breakfast was great and the terrace was lovely.
The wifi was only available up to the 1st floor and the jacuzzi tub didnt work in my room.
The hotel is a very short walk from the bus stop and the staff is friendly and helpful. Our room and bathroom were clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. Breakfast was served in a comfortable dining room and it was adequate but the pastries (especially the shell shaped ones) that we enjoyed with our cappuccino were absolutely delicious! Do not miss out on them!
It was our first visit to Positano and Hotel Savoia was the best place to stay ,view, location very warm welcome and so on.
The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and comfortable - both bathrooms and bedrooms were quite spacious for Europe. Great rooftop garden with view of the area. Breakfast buffet was of good quality (especially the coffee which was great) and offered a nice variety of options as well. Of particular note was the exceptional quality of the staff at the front desk. They were quite adept at answering questions, giving directions, proffering suggestions when asked and making requested arrangements in a most timely, professional and friendly manner.
A well positioned family run hotel just 4-5 minutes from the beach and restaurants. Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful (especially Elisa on reception - hope your son is now better)
Location wise was good as it wasn't too far up the hill from the beach.
The fact that you had go to either go to the lobby or 1st floor for WiFi and you had to put the WiFi code in each time you wanted to connect to the internet.
Its only great thing is the location and relatively cheap price. I think the hotel knows it and still stays pricy, but I am grateful I have stayed here only for one night.
The room smelled like pee, so we asked them to check it out. The receptionists didn't even admit that the room smelt bad. Except that, it was in a great location where you can reach anywhere within Positano.
