Cynchia I believe is the name of the woman who runs the b&b and is so lovely and helpful. Our flight landed late at night and we noticed that it was past the check in time listed at time of booking. Lady managers very hospitable and accommodating. Rushed to get room ready as we arrived early and gave us coffee etc while we waited. Gave us map of city and pointed out highlights re eating and main attractions. Room made up daily with nice fresh towels and water provided in fridge.
The area situated although difficult to find first time round was really quite good and central to most things and the building itself was historic and nicely decorated inside, the lovely smell in the mainroom and

Very good idea for staying in Venice. You chose an apartment, you notify them of your arrival by email, arrange a meeting point, the representative meets up with you (handy to have a phone with you just in case) he (in this case a born-and-bred Venetian) meets you right on time, walks you down several narrow streets, gives you good info on the way, takes you to your room, does the paperwork and payment process, tells you about the room, and then he leaves. Were able to sleep 5 in one room for the night, very affordable, in the
heart of the city, and easy enough to get to from the airport via the
Alilaguna water service. We did have to haul all our cruise luggage
through the streets from the stop, and over 2 canals, but was worth it

The location of the hotel was perfect, just 5min walk to St Mark's
Cathedral, and on a very fancy street with many brands' stores. The
staff was very friendly (thanks to Reymond). The hotel by mistake charge
our money before we go, but as an apologize they offered us a free
champagne and cookies, which we appreciated. The room size was enough
for us, and the bathroom was completely renewed. On the breakfast they
serve cheese, ham, fruits,.. Was quite nice but we adored the pie with

Everything was great.
Very spacious room and a nice welcome with a bottle of champagne (we were travelling on our honeymoon). We enjoyed the view on a small romantic channel with gondolas passing by (there are some rooms with windows overlooking the Grand Canal).
Excellent location, easy to find and get to (next to a water bus stop),and great for sightseeing and shopping (just a short stroll from San Marco with all designer stores on the way).
