  We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel really stood out in terms of quality (from what we saw of other hotels in venice). The staff (who all spoke at least some English) were friendly and helpful. The room was impressive and ours was bigger than I thought it would be after I read that some people thought the rooms were small. Although the hotel first seemed is a li - After reading horror stories of small rooms and inconsistent service in Venice, we intentionally looked for a room with updates and some space and Carnival delivered both. Check in was easy and quick! The hotel was in the quite end of town and away from the crowd. It is also a very short distance (5min) to the public transportation dock and maybe 15 min walk to the train station. Rooms very modern and clean. Hot water all week and lots of water pressure. Breakfast was hot everyday and delicious

  Our airconditioning was not working well and it was extremely hot in Venice, the manager put us in a very expensive room for the last night of our 3 night stay. They were very kind and attentive to us. The breakfast each morning was delicious and had hot and cold foods, as well as fresh fruit. I would definitely recommend this hotel, it was walk... hva folk sier » ing distance from the train station. - The hotel was gorgeous and in an ideal location, about a 2 minute walk from the train station. Our room (#122) was gorgeous - we had a balcony right on the grand canal and only paid 210 Euros a night! It was the perfect place to spend our anniversary. We highly recommend the Principe.

  The staff were exremely friendly and helpful. The reception was open on a 24hr basis and so arriving at night was no problem. The room was comfortable and very clean and the bathroom brand new. It was nice to have a tv. We had a lovely view over the garden.   The staff there was attentive and extremely helpful. They carried our bags up the stairs (yes, stairs, no elevator), but what do you expect for a smaller and quiet little nest out in the heart of Venice. Wifi is free and its fast!!! There's a few floors but with only a few rooms, meaning its not loud; you can sleep in peace, and quiet.   Location was excellent . Our room had a canal view which was unique. Noisy if windows open but new windows shut out the noise. Very clean and looked like the picture. Ea - Location within Venice was great, less than 5 min walk to Rialto Bridge. Room was a great size, with instantly hot shower - have heard that in Venice you can get both a small room and bad water pressure but no issues on this side. Staff very helpful, we got to check in early as the room was ready and they kept our bags safe on the last day until late at night. Also ate in the restaurant which was good food, staff here more than helpful as the terrace flooded during high tide and they piggy back
