This is a top notch hotel. Very nice rooms with nice big bathrooms. We received a room upgrade so I can't speak on a standard room. Our suite with adjoining rooms was, however, excellent++. All that really matters is excellent: location, pleasant and competent staff, facilities, cleanliness. Breakfast was very good, but it`s main selling point is the terrace in which it is served - on top of the rooftop above the Grand Cannal with the most magnificent view.

We were made feel very welcome Staff were always helpful. Our flight home was cancelled and we booked in again for 2 extra nights and hotel reduced the rate for us. Overall fantastic - Excellent staff, good location, a well-run hotel.

This hotel was our favorite from all of our hotels this trip. The location was perfect for walking everywhere and easy access from the water taxi at Rialto bridge....just remember to turn at the Disney store and you'll always find it!
We did eat in the restaurant one night and it was very good. Our waiter was excellent and I'm pretty sure he is the only Italian waiter to have smiled at us our whole trip (no joke!)
We also had a couples massage one evening. Though I would not say it is a "spa"
