The owner of Hotel Genziana is one of the nicest and accommodating people we have met on our travels. Our stay was very enjoyable and for a facility with a shared bathroom, we did not mind this at all due to the cleanliness and support of staff. Bed, very comfortable and location is only 150 metres from the nearest Metro. The owner recommended a lovely restaurant to us and allowed us to store some cool items in their fridge. Many thanks for being such a wonderful host. Your cafe latte was lovel.
alle vurderinger » Good value, minimal, but clean room we had. The location of the hotel is unexpected.. Right in the middle of the labyrinth of dark alleyways of Genoa. Unique underground experience (for a night or two the most) with hookers and pushers around => Not for those with children though. A very pleasant surprise! This one-star hotel was much nicer than other two- and three- star hotels in Italy we've stayed at. The room was big, so was the bathroom. Nice, clean, nice decor, very nice staff, beers cost 1.20 euro per bottle :) I will stay there again. Hotel staff was excellent, extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. Hotel itself is very simple and small, but everything was very clean. Very centrally located. Breakfast was decent as well, definitely great value for the price. Thank you very much!. Central location, close to all sight-seeing places, clean, quiet, have a nice sleep, very friendly staff, the man at reception gave us a map of Genoa and some advice what to visit. The alley was pretty noisy at night, I could definitely use a pair of earplugs.. I guess this is OK if you get hammered enough though. Parking is a bit dodgy, be prepared and leave your car in a nearby parking lot (EUR 18 -20 / 24 hrs). The walls are very thin and we could hear our neighbours. The water in the shower could have been hotter. It is rather hard to find and no taxi drivers knew where it was. However, it's in the very center of the city so once you're there you are close to everywhere. A bit older rooms, than expected, but it was very clean, decent value for your money. Hotel is located on a darker street where you can see prostitutes, we felt uncomfortable at first, but it seems safe enough and is just a small block. Otherwise location is great, very close to everything!. It would be nice if the breakfast is included in the price. There was a lot of noise on one of the nights from other guests up and down the stairs and slamming bedroom doors. It should also be noted that the hotel is on a street frequented by 'working girls' and while it wasn't a problem as such, some people may find it uncomfortable. Hotel is situated in center, but find it is really difficult and may be dangerous, if you do it at evening. Shower was a little cramped but for the budget price it is perfect. We had the windows looking on the street and it was very noisy outside during the whole night. We were in a room facing the rear and the noise at night was fever pitch. Also a little daunting being in an area where the ladies of the night .... Or day were constantly about. nothing. - It's hard to find it if you don't have a detailed map and planned route (GPS doesn't work in the area because of the high buildings and narrow streets) - WiFi didn't work properly. Nothing that I didn't like. the hotel is in a narrow lane - it may be not easy to find. No air conditioning. The laundry is not on site, but is a 30 second walk away. Slightly difficult to find. Location is good, but little dangerous to walk at night. No elevator (but the guy at the reception took my luggage to the room on second floor), no air conditioning, what makes the stay during summer months unbearable. Shared bathroom of poor standard. nose (thin walls, old windows). Calefación poco eficiente. Noisy outside but thats not their fault. very noisy + repair of historical center. Location is very scary!. Cheap bathroom, cheap finitions of the room, no parking, the only parking available is like 18 euros per 24h with the reduction for staying at Genziana... Very noisy and a lot of prostitutes in front of the hotel. A lot of "ladies" around hotel. The parking lot is far a way... and the odor in the bathroom. Location was terrible, very scary place at night! Room was dirty. Felt un-safe.
